Shouldn’t the cars with DRL’s have their gauges lit up no matter what because it doesn’t seem right when their not if its just our vehicle IRL does have illuminated gauges no matter what then that’s OK. also in Forzavista (Autovista) when you turn the full lights on the gauges do too which i’d love for any race when I drive on the bernese alps track the tunnel is dark enough where we could get the use for the shady/darker parts of the map(s) but thanks in advance.
(and yes I know I should put this into the wishlist)
No, because my 2010 Toyota Corolla has DRLs, but the dash lights are not illuminated. Not every car equipped with DRL’s have dash lights that are on with them.
This - the DRL’s are separate to the lighting system, including the dash lights, in most cars - and most cars lose the DRLs when their park/low/high beams are on (and the dash lights are lit up). There are other cars that have dash lights all the time - I have a 2010 XR5 (Focus ST) - it has the main dash lights lit at all times when the car is running - but the HVAC and boost/oil gauges are only lit up when the headlights are on.
DRL stands for Daytime Running Lights. If it’s daytime when the lights are on why would you need illuminated gauges. Common sense. All they’re for is to make you’re car more visible to others.
Kinda stupid but not all of those cars have forced drl anyways I remember programing many bmw drl when I worked there. Only country I no of that has forced drl is Canada but im sure its probably like that almost every where besides america.
