Instead of bringing back auction house, maybe turn 10 could make a game patch that allows the player to sell 10 cars to the game itself so they can pop the achievement

Would require a patch which takes time and money - and would generate zero income. T10 are well and truly done with FM2.
Question for those who want something like this to think about - do yo expect a patch for the timed challenges that games on the XB1 have as well? It isn’t going to happen on the XB1 and T10 have no reason to do it because you came to FM2 late and missed getting one achievement.
I highly doubt that Turn10 will do anything to help people obtain this achievement.
I hate it I really would have loved to obtain all Forza Achievements, but it seems that it will never happen now.
It not unheard of companies patching a game with no financial gain. Look at Halo: CE for PC. Bungie, who is no longer in control of Halo, gathered a small team of employees and community members to patch various bugs and help its multiplayer to live on.

They need to maybe just give the achievement away to all F2 Players. simple. no patching needed.

the sad thing is I’m replaying this game as my brother has the original profile where I unlocked most of the achievements including brocher before I bought my 360 and I know I wont be getting at least 2 achievements but if I get 400 points out of 500 I’ll be happy. I’m close with the rest at tier 7 9,937 points and climbing running through the stuff I missed on 360 now.
There is a number of people who would like something to still be enabled for this achievement. It is not unheard of for a developer to go back and update an achievement to automatically pop. I’ve seen it in a number of games where they update the achievement trigger to be something small like “start up the game” then “pop”. Of course T10 has absolutely nothing to gain here, but given the amount of time and energy and money that dedicated Forza players put into T10’s titles, it does not seem like such a long shot to update the trigger on this achievement with a small patch. It would require very little effort on their side to complete, most likely.
T10, please consider finding some way to re-enable getting this achievement. There are a lot of dedicated fans who missed the boat. While that is not your problem, we as a community plea to find a way to rectify this problem as a show of support for your fans.

Giving this to people would enable all who want to invest time in it to get to Tier 8 before Forza 6 comes out (to get the Audi in FM6). As of now it is impossible if you don’t have the achievement already. At least I know know that its impossible and I don’ have to grind my way through the stupid achievements in FM5…

Agreed - now that there’s a focus on the whole series, it seems a shame that there’s these achievements cannot be gained.
Exactly. The series on TA is what led me to work on finishing the 1,000,000 online for FM2.
Now the Auction House achievement is taunting me even more. 
I started with FM4 and worked backwards from there, never having the opportunity to attempt the AH achievement. This will be the only one I don’t have in the whole series.
I would like this too! Or they could re-enable everything for one month to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise giving the opportunity to fans to get what they need.

As a rookie gamer i believe that when playing any Forza after 2 the rush and competitive edge went out of the game as they took it away from trackside.but now with the new 6 bringing in track play in real weather time it would nmake for more realtime edge of seat overtaking.all ican type to this is.Before 6 came out they should have experimented and opened Forza 2 dlc up and added the all weather dlc.Out of all tier 8 how many of you have leaderboard times from D-R1 on FM2?
I have barked up this tree before, and it seems that even though T10 really should consider a simple patch for this achievement, they won’t. They could probably even have an intern code it. Especially if this game will at some point be backward compatible, they SHOULD consider it, but I really doubt it. Here’s to hoping they hear the pleas from the dedicated fans like me.
Saw someone got it on TA a week or so ago, so I figured I’d fire up FM2 to see if I would have any luck.
Surprisingly, I had a 2 MB update (I was last on probably 2 months ago). Unfortunately, seems like it has nothing do with patching the achievement or AH.
thanks for noticing this on TA… wasn’t aware! checked it and was puzzeled… I tried to auction a focus, got an error message when listing it, but the focus dissapeared from my garage… couldn’t find a listing for it.
Last time i checked the auction house, it wouldn’t even load, now it loads but doesn’t show any cars. I really dont get how those 2 people got the achievement lately, but really want to find out!! I need that one bad
Does anybody know if you can still gift cars to other people?
I have no idea if that’s possible, but if so I’d love to buddy up with someone to get this. In all likelihood, the game was patched so it properly supports backward compatibility on Xbox one. You would think that if they did really fix it there would have been some update on here, but they aren’t likely looking at any forum much other than FM6.
And they say they listen to us like some others on here this will be the only achievement from stoping me completely finishing the series off Forza games all they need to do is pop the achievement they game us the points for dlc that is not much different when you think off it plus auction house on FM3 is still running last I looked its a older game also so cant see why not they can’t bring back ther servers for this even if it was for a limited time like 1 year to let us get the achievement then shut it down am sure ther still ther all someone has to do is flick a switch

I believe it would be an act of great respect with the Forza community if Turn 10 corrected that achievement. Unfortunately every company aims at profit and this only demonstrates that Turn 10 is just another company. The only exception to this rule I know of is Halo. Developers respect and support the community and care for the oldest games in the series. So jealous…
I have said this before but it needs repeating. Several posts in this thread note that there would be no incentive or profit for Turn 10 to open servers or make a patch for the auction house. We should make it profitable for them. If they would communicate with us and tell us what it would cost, there may be enough people needing this achievement to pitch in and cover the cost. I would be very willing to spend some money to complete the last challenge. I probably have 800 hours of time invested to complete all the Forza games. Unfortunately, I first played Forza 2 with my son on his gamer tag. When I went back later to complete all the achievements under my gamer tag, the auction house was closed. I just this weekend completed the 1,000,000 online points. I will be forever 10 points short of a perfect Forza score. Please Turn 10, quote us a price and I will put together a fundraiser to make it happen.
