So i just started having this issue today (4/11/2024). I loaded into the game, quite excited to get the 2003 SVT Cobra Mustang, yet when i loaded into the game, i was greeted by the offline playlist. Im able to play online in Horizon Life, i can see and interact with other players, but the medsage center, festival playlist, creative hub, auction house and forzathon shop are inaccessible, saying “The Forza Horizon 5 server is not available at this time”
Same I’ve been waiting so it becomes available but all of a sudden the servers goes down

I’ve been trying for 24 hours and I haven’t been able to start the trial or playground games. I start the event, get past the countdown to the start, accept matchmaking and get the countdown “waiting for other players”, which counts down, then nothing, no event start or notification why it won’t start.
Repeated PC restarts, entering events from different locations etc. haven’t helped.
Platform: Windows PC
Edition: Premium, Add-Ons
Account: solo account
PC GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3060 Ti

I worked it out eventually. For the last few days the game has been loading into Hot Wheels Park on start up by default. Once I went back to Mexico and set one of my houses to be the default home I was able to join sessions for the trial and playground. (I was in the Mexico map when trying to join previously).

I have the exact same issue since three series and I am unable to fix this issue.

also had this issue. fixed it by doing the following:
- make sure you have your home set to somewhere in mexico (not in hot wheels park or badlands)
- close the game and uninstall the hot wheels dlc (not the whole game, just this one pack)
- restart the game and verify that you can join online events now
- reinstall the hot wheels dlc
hope this fixes it for you

I tried the suggested steps, but unfortunately, the issue persists. It seems that something changed since the latest patch, as I now get kicked out and return to freeroam after encountering the stuck loading screen.

I have been having this issue for months now. Ill load the game and it cannot connect to horizon life no matter what. I’ve deleted and re-installed the game. Reset my console. Even got a whole new gen console and im having the same issue. I get the general message about the server being unavailable. Any help would be appreciated

How is there no instructions to fix this? I havent been able to access Auction House, Backstage or Forzathon shop from April 2024, how do i fix this?

I’ve also done this and still won’t work.
Had a similar thing about an hour or two ago.
Switched to HW expansion to check out a couple of things, went back and no online players. Game said can’t connect with a network issue but all things - including all online menu stuff was still OK.
Shut down game - full quit and shut down console -
Restarted console after about half an hour - Game restart - Online players showing -
Just another Forza glitch to add to the many that they can’t be bothered to look at.

I still seem to be having connection problems,
with Horizon Life, Auction House, Car Tunes and Liveries wont load/ download,
I’ve reinstalled the game 3 times but still not been able to connect to the servers.
Ya im on of been 4 days ive bought so many car to not be able to access online features if this dosent get fixed in the next 24 hours im deleting it and wont be coming back go buy a ps5 and play gt7 so get it togethor was completley fine wnver experinced a single issue u ad ps5 now I can access online features im good dude fix it im getting so angry about this
