Cant get past start screen (press A)

Hi

i have been trying to find a solution as to why i cant press A at the main start menu when i do press A a circle briefly apperss the goes back to the press A again, i have signed in to everything but still cant get past this bit any ideas?

System specs:

Aspire VN7-591G
windows 10
memory: 12GB
graphics card 1: intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
graphics card 2 Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M (up to date)

  • Check the Windows Store to make sure there’s not an Update button
  • Run Windows Update from your settings to make sure you have all updates
  • Unplug all networking equipment, reboot, plug back in, sign in to the Xbox app, and try again
  • Try using the exact drivers below, even if they’re not the most recent
  • Try disabling one of the video cards
  • Try loading the game in window mode, not full screen

What CPU are you running? Also try to disable the intel GFX in the BIOS.

Did any of those steps listed work for you? I am having the same issue, it doesn’t seem to me like a hardware issue/video card issue, it seems like a signing into the Xbox account issue. I posted another thread about this earlier and then some more searching brought me to your thread, so I am wondering how it worked out for you or what you ended up doing to fix the problem. One thing for sure is that I have the right nVidia driver, I had to do that before the game would start in the first place. I have tried reinstalling and restarting, as well.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you and I hope you are finally driving in the fast lane!

I am having the same problem and have tried the above-stated steps. Unfortunately the problem still remains unresolved. It has something to do with signing in to the Xbox account because the sign in window pops up but then disappears. This does not allow us to sign in and hence prevents us from playing the game. I hope someone finds a solution because many users like me cannot solve this.
