I know there’s topics on this. And I’ve looked them up and tried to follow steps. Nothing’s worked. This is a problem with BOTH Forza Horizon 4 and Forza 7 for me. I feel like Forza 7 messed up and glitched and it broke both games. I was playing Horizon 4 last night, so there should be no reason for it to have broken, but then Forza 7 broke and now Horizon 4 won’t work. The fact that those two games are linked that much together is actually rather frustrating. WHY? If you KNEW Forza 7 was a buggy, laggy, unfinished POS, why would you connect another game to it? Especially one that’s better? It sometimes feels like Microsoft is actively trying to kill their own first part exclusives.
But yeah, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 won’t load past the splash screen. And I’m not uninstalling and reinstalling them until 2019, so… And if THAT doesn’t work then, well, I would like my $200 back, please. At least $100 for…whatever Forza 7 is. I mean, it’s been 2 years and it’s still so unfinished it’s breaks this badly? No…Look, there had better be something more than a couple drift car packs and a stupid Hot Wheels Anniversary pack that gives us…2 new cars and 4 variations of cars we already have. Like, I want $40 worth of cars/tracks. Why did I spend $100 on this? AND it drags Horizon 4 down with it? REALLY? That’s more than mean spirited. No. I think I’m done with Forza. I mean, I have no idea when the next Forza will come out, but…I might skip it. Or wait. Because the current state of things is a bit unacceptable.
Ok, but what exactly is everything? It works fine on my PC, never had an issue. Never. They are not connected at all in any way. The same issue is just causing the problem for both. Permissions or admin rights come to mind. Check em.
And Forza 7 defaulted back to 4K. Why? Why is that even an option on my computer? I have a 1050ti. My computer can’t handle 4K. A smart game knows that. But, Forza 7 is a broken POS that can’t even understand what “recommended” settings mean. Yeah, nope. Screw that. I’m done with Forza 7 and it’s brokenness. Stupid 30GB of useless 4K textures. I really wish I could just go into Forza 7’s programming and delete that resolution and those textures from the game. Maybe it would work better. Stupid Microsoft and their insistance on 4K everything. How about, instead of adding EXTRA work for your devs, why not make sure the game WORKS first!
Mine tends to lose its original settings after an update and do the 4k thing, but just have to adjust it back real quick. This was happening a lot in FH4 when it first came out, but got fixed for awhile. It seems to happen every so often now, but only takes a few seconds to correct as I just use 1080p Ultra Preset.
You could also possibly have Hardware/Software issues outside of Forza. I had to replace some hardware recently and reinstall windows and it’s been a lot better/smoother since. I would try to maybe reinstall windows and start your PC fresh again and go from there, but that’s only a suggestion.
Also, try to relax bud. You seem to be letting yourself get really worked up over this. Your not going to get the responses you need if your ranting and raving, and using unneeded language. Plus its unhealthy.
Make sure your Monitors drivers are up to date and that your Monitors Settings are set to the proper Resolution and Hz, and if you are using multiple monitors make sure the one you game on is set as you main.
If none of this works, maybe it might be a good idea to skip the next Forza.
I love it when people respond to stuff without fully reading. Every time I try to change the resolution, it crashes my computer. I’ve had 2 Xbox’s and…really there’s no point anymore. The only thing good on Xbox is Forza and even that’s kind of sort of maybe temporarily dead, at the moment. So…And I should be able to play Forza on PC. And the 1050…for all intents and purposes can’t do 4K. 1 frame every 5 seconds isn’t what I would consider actually doing it. It would be nice if there was…I don’t know, the ability to change options at the splash screen like Horizon 4. OR if “recommended” wasn’t 4K. Or if the game didn’t default to 4K because the hopes and dreams of Microsoft outweigh any sort of common sense.
How come every time someone mentions a graphics issue everyone always assumes they don’t know how to update graphics drivers and stuff? And I would be more calm if the game worked correctly and didn’t default to 4K after every update. Seriously, that’s just dumb. And the saddest thing is, the game’s been out for two years, and that’s still a thing? Gotta ask why they’re adding new features when basic stuff isn’t fixed. Like…look, if you’re gonna default to once a month, seriously, please add an options menu to the splash screen so the majority of us who DON’T have a 4K ready computer, can turn it to a more realistic resolution.
I’m sorry kid, but it sounds like your hardware is either messed up or you have software issues (Not Forza). I only mentioned Monitor Driver (Not Graphics), because people tend to miss that one. If your going to complain about the people who are trying to help, then don’t come on the Forums to ask for help. If your having these many issues, open a ticket and stop coming on here and name calling.
So change it, what is the big deal? Omg you have to change resolution back to 1080, the horror. Go get an Xbox, PC isn’t for you. 1050 can do 4K, not very well but it can. Probably ok for streaming content.
