I wish the devs would stop putting Event Lab creations in the weekly list of STD (stuff to do).
It’s bad enough having to wade through the Hotwheels and Rally content to get points but those Event Labs are the worst.
If people want to play them, fair do, they can go and search for them but why on earth do the devs think everyone want to endure them.
I mean look at that Intestine shaped track at the stadium this week. What a load of garbage and 3 laps of it to boot.
I like to complete the weekly stuff, but there is just too much these days and having to spend hours each week completing everything is a real pain in the derrière!
I find them unique and different which is a step above the same old same old races. Granted, sometimes they do go on a bit, and some races ‘require’ the full driveline because without it you’d go off course, but still, overall they are creative and interesting.
They are also typically chill and a nice break between The Trial and any psycho S2 Class Seasonal. The visuals are often unique, and again, different from the same race tracks.
Not to mention the points. It’s 3 points for a ‘race’, whereas with a seasonal it’s 5 points for 3 races which amounts to 1.67 points per race, a little over half the points.
I understand some don’t like them, but I appreciate the creativity involved and the fact that these are highlighted in the Weekly seasonals.
You honestly don’t have to do them. I think unless they’re offering a reward you don’t have, you can just ignore them. Pretty sure, you’ll still get enough points to acquire any exclusive content that might exist within the series.
That’s the thing, you can get more than enough points to win both weekly cars without touching any of these events. You feeling forced to do everything is your problem only.
This week wasn’t too bad and Rally events I actually usually enjoy. B700 is where rallying works best for me so I had good fun. Even that C600 Volvo challenge was good enough.
When the Event Lab makes you actually race againts other drivers and not just solo through at your own pace, I usually approve them.
That’s fair enough if you don’t have a completist mindset, which some of us do, so we have to complete everything within the game.
FH3 wasn’t too bad as the weekly stuff only took a short amount of time, the FH4 got worse and FH5 takes hours some times.
If the devs want to offer new content, fair enough, they just don’t need to add it to the Festival Playlist (FP).
I mean, there is already the option to search for events created by other players, so if anyone is interested in those, they can be searched for without having to force-feed them onto everyone via the FP.
I do like them mostly but what i don’t like is when they add eventlabs that a xbox series x can’t handle. It’s been like 3-4 so far that xbox simple can’t handle and is very laggy.
Exactly. Completionism is a thing. Some of us just absolutely have to complete to 100%. It’s the only way to stop constantly thinking about it. I found it better to embrace than to fight. Video gaming taught me completionism. Now I use it with my business and it’s very profitable. Is that what gamification is? Oh well, back to it!
Yep. I used to be 100% on the playlists without fail until the awful distance tracking glitch got introduced into the game last year and blew that whole ability out of the water.
Now since I’m unable to get 100%, I just do the events that reward me with things I don’t already have.
