Cannot install -> hardware requirements issue

I was very excited to try out Forza 6 Apex, but on the game page in the store I can not “buy” the game.
There is a message that says that I need a device with more features (see image below).

This is due to my system specs: Intel core i5-2500K, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB, Windows 10 64-bit v.1511.
My PC is a few years old, but could run the game in medium settings

Can you guys please fix this issue so we can play this game with older hardware and/or Directx 11?

U need to have dx12 video card… I have gtx 580 and that problem so there’s always some magic… Just windows things

I have the same problem, graphics card is GT650 which is DX12 compatible according to the NVidia website.

I updated my NVidia driver and now I can install.

I’ve been waiting for so long for the game but it’s frustrating that I was unable to download the game from the store with this notice:

This is my rig:

The Dxdiag said DirectX ver is 12, Windows 10 up-to-date to version 1511, so it should run properly

I updated the driver to nvidia 365.10 ut still get the same result, frustrated.

From your screenshot, I have 2 options why it won’t run:

  • your CPU is a Intel 2xxx-series which is almost 2 years older/worse than the minimum required i3-4150.
  • your RAM detects less than 8GB due to IGP-assignment / BIOS-settings.

I also assume that your CPU isn’t even DX12-aware (fully) so that would mean another checkmark in the “it won’t run” column.

Try to restart your PC.

Make sure you selected your primary gfx card to the Nvidia one, check your BIOS settings, Intel gfx setting and also Nvidia settings for this.
Otherwise it might detect your Intel HD 3000 instead of the Nvidia card.
