This account is regular: No VIP, no car pass.
I know that the Can-Am Maverick comes in a car pass but I expected to be able to buy it directly from a seller in the auction house.
When I try to buy this car in the action house the game prompts me with 2 options to buy either the single vehicle or a car pass.
No option to just buy the car from the seller using in-game credits.
Is this by design? Or is this another glitch with my regular account?

If you don’t own the dlc you cant buy from auction house. Its the way it is meant to work.

If it worked the way you are wanting it to there it wouldnt be dlc

Idk, a sound business decision.

Sell dlc content to make money requires anyone wanting to own dlc content to buy it.

Or, just one person buy blc content and everyone else can just use in game credits to get that dlc.

In previous games (FM3 or 4 anyway) you could have a DLC car sitting in your garage with no way to access it. This way I think the business decision is to save the community liaison team the headache of dealing with every user who inadvertently spent CR on DLC cars they didn’t own and demanded the CR back.

I remember this, i think it was fm4 where i was looking action house and found some cool car very cheeply so i buy it and just when i go in to garage i realize it’s dlc car, so it’s just sit in there long long time before i finally buy that dlc.

I will wait then until I can use again my primary account (with all the bells and whistles).
I understand the market captivating tactics used to push their products.
Although not the case in this post, I still believe it is wrong that I cannot sell openly a DLC that I did not like.

You can sell it but only people who have the dlc can buy it, and if they have the DLC they already got the car for free so won’t buy it. The auction house is always rammed with unwanted dlc no one bids on.

DLC on AH breaks the model.

1 but all DLC on my main account
2 set up second account which can access my game and DLC for free
3 play for 1 hour to unlock AH
4 sell DLC cars
5 buy FE car from main account to transfer credit
6 rinse, repeat

Would kill the sales
