Don´t get me started on Fiats, ehehhe, I love mine, the engine is a peach! The new ones are very good actually. Too bad they have such bad reputation due to 90s electronic issues.
My mother has an Abarth and works for them. It was repaired multiple times, computer issues, etc. They eventually replaced the car but the new one has only had issues with the top leaking or something or another.
I drove the Abarth and I really like it. Awesome sound! It just doesn´t have the urgency and responsiveness of my HGT´s NA engine, so I still kinda prefer mine. The materials and assembly are much, much better though. The Abarth Punto is superb for the price they are asking.
I had two issues if I recall correctly. The left automatic electric window stopped working and the door hinge broke, they fixed them easily. My clutch pedal has a whine noise in the summer, probably due to material dilation. Its easily fixed with lubricant (I wish they used better quality materials, but then again the car was rather cheap for what I got).
Other then that, just consumables.
What did they replaced the Abarth with, just out of mere curiosity?
Woozie it appears that the new motors are just as bad. The modding thread on GTPlanet seems to be a good route where the guy builds it all and sends it to you with higher quality motors. I don’t want an Accuforce yet, would rather them run through the kinks before spending so I’m going to get a G27 here soon.
So now, you can see how I was considering the Accuforce pro when the AU$$ was good as it would have been around 2.3KAU with a huge difference in quality.
So you are adding an unnecessary wheel rim, and using that as your reasoning. Lose the 918 rim from your figure. For the same cost of the 918, you can get the Xbone U-Hub with a wheel rim of your choice preassembled.
There is only 3 basic rims that come “bundled” with the hub, otherwise you must purchase the hub and wheel rim seperately. The irrelevent wheel is only 5 cents difference over the other wheels.
Unless you are on PC, you cant even have the porsche 918 rim on xbox 1.
So you either grab the bundled Flat, Round or GT rim. Otherwise you get the drift, oval, or classic rim + hub. Price of ~1300 still stands as the scenario isnt invalidated by your own choices.
EDIT: You guys might want to read the wording under “Future Proof” for the xbox hub/rim very carefully…
The more and more I read the comments and answers over on Fanatec’s website about the Xbox One hub and everything, the more I think that in the end regardless of what Fanatec comes out with, the TX is going to be the better option for Xbox One.
Doesn´t Fanatec sell spare load cells? They can´t be that hard to replace.
Nobody is going to pay 1000+ euros to play FM. It is just silly to think that.
They most likely have a mid-range base in mind that is compatible with these hubs. Even so, the price point of detachable rims is ridiculous, specially in europe. I honestly think they shot themselves in the foot.
If I decide to retire my CSR, I will most likely get the TX and their new leather wheel. I will still use my reliable and pretty Elite Pedals, though.
The load cells can be just as “wonky” as any other part supplied by fanatec though.
I dont miss the load cell honestly. All you need is that progressive resistance in the brake, spring + foam achieves the same effect just like the rubber mod for the thrustmaster’s.
The load-cell is kinda a “consumable” part and not just on pedals but pretty much everything else. Mine is still fine, and hopefully it stays like that.
Yes, but those metal plates? Do you feel the cold, hehehe?
What is cold? I doesnt get cold where I am… if you are lucky you will get around 7C at the coldest point at night/morning on the coldest day in winter.
