Check position board after 2:34. GhostKiller4697 was using a stock Ferrari F40 in a public S1 lobby.
(The race itself was also quite a good one by the way. Not by me though).
I think you can still use classes under what it’s set to since you’re only disadvantaging yourself.
This is quite correct, using an underclass car is possible unless the race is restricted to that class, so in Rivals events you can only use cars in that class, in a championship you can use a qualifying car from any class unless it’s set up for that class only, seems like the class is often the upper limit…
Could they not be using a steering wheel vs controller users? Plus defaming people in public with scant evidence isn’t nice, report it by all means and let T10/MS find out the truth.
People ARE getting banned for cheating and using trainers so as I mentioned report your suspicions.
I was repeatedly accused of cheating as were many of my good friends playing Grid Autosport, We suffered accusations, videos posted on Youtube, Trolling on the games forums, eventually 1 individual took it upon himself to use the very cheats he accused us to be using to deliberately ruin any race or session he found us in.
I was a favourite target as I had made a video in response to one of his, his video round Istanbul showed myself and 3-4 other players tearing off into the distance as he made every mistake in the book, eg his minimum speed through turns 8,9,10 and 11 was 85mph as he braked for each apex, we all approached this as one long continuous left turn.
This is the vid I made in response can’t find his one. FYI the slowest speed I took through those corners was 120mph
I was regularly in the top 1% of times on the Racenet events I entered, fairly often in the top 10, Same with Apex and even FH3, I’m not the fastest by ANY stretch of the imagination, just fast enough to be accused and then targeted for attack because of that accusation and my reply to it. it even killed off a lot of peoples interest in the game (along with all it’s other faults).
Now I’ve taken to publishing vids preferably in game in order to be able to provide proof against such accusations SRS13Rastus - YouTube
Again I’m not suggesting you do or say nothing but at least do it the right way, If it’s an honest racer you’re accusing, the results can do a lot more damage than you think.
After all I hate cheats just as much or perhaps more so than yourself lol…
If i’s an online race it should only allow you to enter the session with a car of the same class.
When you see people in a lower or higher class it’s because they joined the session but have not yet picked a car. It should not allow them to race.
Now if you’re not in an adventure but in online freeroam and you start a race it may be different. They could have picked an anything goes category limited to S1 (and thus lower) and everyone saw this and picked S1. Not always will the higher class guarantee you a win - especially when you’re in A, S1, and S2.
Watching the video it seems to me that in the first time this user makes a significant position jump (10th to 8th) it is due to the two players in front of him absolutely messing up the corner because (most likely) they were going too fast and hit the wall. Then he gains a single position. shortly thereafter. At the very end of the race near the two right angles he gains another position again, because the driver in front of him probably hits the walls carrying too much speed. I’d like to give the individual the benefit of the doubt and watching this video it doesn’t seem suspicious. There is a wide range of skill levels and talents playing online and I have many friends where I can beat them from a class or two down. I also have many friends who could easily beat me a class or two down.
If you’ven ever encountered this from this individual before I’d chalk it up to racing and move along.
