I think you’re describing the same problem I complained about in another thread. SC kicking in even though I always have SC and TC turned off. Through lots of trial and error, I got the problem to go away by lowering the difficulty level to average. For whatever reason, doing that causes my car’s handling to radically improve. No more bogus SC.
Are you talking about the drivatar difficulty level??
Yea this is a absolutely game-breaking bug, and it must be a bug.
It makes no sense for the devs to make this change on purpose.
Why even leave the break-bias tuning option ingame at all if that were the case.
I want to add this isn’t just a problem for all of us who play the horizon series more or less just for the drifting and car modding/tuning.
But this is also a massive problem when driving any type of off-road racing, especially when using a AWD car as left-foot breaking is absolutely crucial for handling.
Yep, something is messed up with brakes. They lock tyres very easily and mostly they’re too weak for game’s driving line. We have to brake way before redline now, which I guess shouldn’t be like that.

I’ve noticed that. Yellow means brake now too right before red. In other games I started braking in red

up, devs needs to see this, some people only bought this game for tandem drifting ![]()
This is a huge issue in the RWD Tandem community for keyboard players,. Once the brake is applied all power to the engine is lost. Cant do standing burnouts. Cant slow down in a tandem without loosing all power to the engine. I hope this is just a bug and not an intended feature.
Question i have is why does applying brake pressure cut throttle if its still being applied? affects my pedals + controller that i’ve tested on. I hope its a bug and will be fixed as it makes no sense.

Braking is pretty broken for some cars too. The Ford Puma has its stock brakes bias wrong (as was the case in FH4) so the rears lock. Then we have cars like the WRX (standard and S209) and others that lock the inside rear wheel when trail braking, its like pulling the handbrake with how much it has an effect. I’ve never seen a non FWD lock in inside rear wheel, and then that is down to the wheel barely being in contact with the road and has no impact on handling which isn’t happening here.
I think this is fixed…? Seems a lot better.

Seems different, but tell me why.
Brake bias has been backwards since FH4… maybe longer.
Sort of fixed now? Still feels weird, like a tiny bit of braking will lock up the front wheels when it shouldn’t
Bump because this is still broken. It’s almost as if stability control is on no matter what.
