Brake balance backwards?

Has anyone noticed that the brake balance is backwards? I recently bought an xbox one with forza 5 and for the past week I have be struggling with the tuning. Could never figure out why the front wheels lock up all the time. Every other forza I always ran 48-46% pressure, which means I’m taking 2-4% off the front. Anyway, in forza 5 I had the brake balance as low as 20% which means 80% should be to the rear and it still isn’t right. So last night I just tried to run the front at 70% and see what happens and then the rear started locking up. This is totally wrong and was just wondering if turn 10 knows about this problem? So now in forza 5 running 52% braking force to the front is like running 48% to the front in all other forza’s.

Yes this has been known for awhile. 48% brake pressure is bias towards the front and 52% towards the back. Not a huge issue once you know which way to set the balance.

True, but its backwards and they should fix it. It shouldn’t of even been shipped like that. Kind of shows the game was rushed in a way. I can hear how it might of went…“don’t worry about store front or auction house, just get the game out by launch!”.

Agreed. Makes me wonder about all other tuning parameters. At least with brake balance it is easy to test & confirm.

I’ve never had a problem with the brakes, or the tuning settings, and they’ve worked wonderfully. Yes, I use it when tuning. No I haven’t ever been confused by it.

It may be a bit confusing because on the right hand side of the slider it says REAR, and then it shows the number labeled as %. that percent number is the FRONT percentage though, even though it’s by the end of the slider labeled rear.

The confusing part is it’s always been the same since Forza 1. If the percent number shown after adjusting is the front percentage like you say, then the way I have most of my cars (52-54%) the front wheels should lock up before the rear, which is doesn’t. If you even read the description it’ll tell you adjust the slider to the rear to take pressure from the front to the rear (not the exact words but that’s what they mean).

You should refer to an earlier thread posted by gtFOOTw, which explains the brake bias position very well.
Search for BRAKE-BIAS-EXPLAINED. Tried to post a link but failed LOL.

the % is the rear.

Here is the LINK

Not sure if anyone has posted it yet, but it is majorly glitched. If you want your car to have more braking effect on the front wheels you have to have a higher % , but sometimes you have to have a lower %, seems like it depends on the car. This is something I really dislike because I’ve always used 60-65% in forza 4, and I don’t know which of my cars in Forza 5 could have had better braking.

As posted by some guy above, this is a result of the game being rushed, Forza 6 will be better, I really really do believe so, I am far from pleased with Forza 5, a step down from Forza 4, except from graphics ofcourse.
