Blueprint Leaderboards; Where are they?

FH5 has been out a while now, the only thing I really do now, is create custom tracks for my friends and I, competing to get the best speeds possible, but without screenshotting/recording, there’s no way of actually storing a leaderboard unless you externally keep track.

This is absolutely ludicrous, I want to be able to compare my laptimes, with my friends, see who’s better, what settings they’re using, and so forth.

The feature is there for other tracks for rivals, but none for blueprint races.
Am I being blind and it does exist, or is this a thing that noone wants?

In addition I would like to see custom lobbies where you can select event labs as the tracks.

You guys are taking about making the game fun and interesting. Be careful or you could be banned.

@Taran8636 you could post share codes for those races. They look interesting.

The problems in my opinion would be

  • cluttering. Lots of tracks can be saved under the same name, even by yourself (only with different share codes). No database in the world would keep an infinite number of tracks, several versions of it (not to mention the different PI and wheather versions) and for each of them a highscore list containing millions of player entries.

  • continuity. Tracks can be modified later (even deleted) and while they also change their share code, all record holders would lose their times over and over again just because the author added a prop for example.
On the other hand, if the highscores stay regardless of version, a bend or jump gets modified and the last track record is unreachable for suitors.

So it is up to you and your screenshots and excel files.
So far in our group we simply race together and compare test run times by posting screenshots, as you do…

agree. well addressed issue and i would add sames for super 7 challenges

To be fair, 2 very good points. The cluttering is definitely the main one as I can completely understand this, I don’t imagine everyone actually changes the name of their own tracks, and they might have multiple from the same base race, so yeah, that sucks.

Losing a time due to a track modification, fair enough, makes sense, annoying nonetheless for those that would/could be 1st.

Unfortunately, those 2 points are probably, the main reasons as to why blueprint LBs don’t exist.

Really sucks, I guess screenshots in a discord thread will have to suffice.

Make event lab names unique if they are not already.

Limit users on the number of event labs they can publish to the public if not already.

That’s assuming a million players play the event lab. All they need to record per leaderboard entry is track ID, player ID, car/model ID, time. Not much data and data is cheap anyway.

Don’t allow tracks to be updated under the same name.

Why not attach a small leaderboard to a blueprint track. Allowing a limited number of entries. Say limit the blueprint leaderboards to 1000 players.

And if the track builder updates the track, what’s the big deal if the leaderboards get reset? Run a bew time on the new track. If it’s that important to your FH5 world.

But as for limiting blueprints, NO NO NO to that idea.

As much as I completely agree with the OP (test drive unlimited did this), I don’t see playground doing it.

On a side note, anyone know how many custom tracks/routes you can make? What’s the limit, if anyone has found it?

You can make 5 per track.
