Blackice Designs - new painter to community

~~ BLACKICE’S GARAGE ~~

Hello everyone,

I am planning on slowly producing and releasing some of my paints. I am relatively new to this, but have always had a passion for artwork, specifically gothic, line drawing and fantasy artwork.

Please have a look at my work, I would appreciate any feedback!

Hey guys, any feedback is very much appreciated. I’d love to improve and get some tips and tricks. I’m very inspired by some older painters, not sure if you guys ever had any of ‘Treewick’s’ paints back in the day but with a lot of these traditional painters no longer doing it I’ve had to start to create my own!

I remember Treewick from the olden days, you could spot his designs instantly :ok_hand:t5:

I’m also a big fan of Anne Stokes’ art and painted a couple of designs featuring her work back in FM3/FM4 days. Props for taking the plunge and making your own designs, not sure what tips you need to be honest, looks like a solid job you’ve done there :+1:t5::+1:t5:

Don’t be shy… post larger pics!

Oh wow I really appreciate the kind words. Yes his work was awesome, back in the day where a locked design of his on the AH would be the rarest of the rare.

Sure thing, I do however not know how to post larger, as I take the screenshots from my Xbox app and add them on here. I will look into it!

Currently working on a new design, so il use that for the test.

Thanks again

Like already mentioned you’re already doing great when it comes to painting, so I can’t give you any advice there beyond “keep going”.

As for the other things, bigger pictures indeed could be nice. Didn’t notice details like the skull in the cross at first.
Also I probably would paint the rims.
For the presentation, tune your car before painting (saving the paint to that car). Even if it’s just lowering and bigger rims. If you do it first it should show in the thumbnail. (It won’t display it under your designs, but if you search for it you can see it).

Not an advice but something I like to do and you could play around with. You could paint the car in Chrome/ Aluminuim and use masks to give some objects a special finish (like a silver cross.) If it sticks out too much you can put a mostly transparant black layer over everything, which will impact the finish of that part but also darkens down the rest a little.

That’s some great feedback thanks a lot, il have a look into this and ensure I do it for the next design, which should hopefully be out next week depending on how much time I can put to it!

Thanks again!

Relatively new?!?! You’ve got to be kidding me. This is amazing!! Great work!
