Again, nice work kool. It would be interesting to put the same upgrades and tunes onto the genuine unicorns to compare times. I’ll be giving them a test later.

I hope its not done . I hit a bit of a wall playing F4 . I can still add a challenge every few weeks its just i need to "recharge my batteries " . I will add a challenge in the next few days .
Still strange to think that FM4 was more active than FM6 at one point. You were lucky to keep a thread on the first page. Met my best friends on FM4 years ago… Yet here we are, maybe a dozen people left. : /

I have to confess, I have pretty much thrown in the towel, after starting tons of threads in the last couple of months. When it comes to driving, my skills have diminished to where I’m pretty much a rolling roadblock so I stay away from lobbies. As to the challenges, great fun, but I’ve been discouraged by the anemic response. To the few who were sporting enough to make the effort, thank you. I guess I’m still having fun producing dozens of cars for auction. I like to think I’m contributing if many of my cars are being used online (a big “if”) but I’m forced to agree that my favorite racing game is in decline…
If I had more than two or three responses on a consistent basis I would feel more like continuing to post challenges, but I’m afraid the players are just no longer out there. Or at least the subset of players who love Forza 4 and read the forums is the real unicorn…
Be sure to leave the lights on when (if?) you go.
I may not be the most “interacting”, but… I still enjoy “wasting time” in FM4 ;^)
maybe the next Forza will bring back the Community features? - I’m wait 'n see, but until that happens…

I was actually talking to Kool about that around E3. It looks like FH3 is gonna have every community feature FM4 has, minus gifting. We could totally continue things over there, assuming we all eventually get X1s or PCs.
So there won’t be exchanging of paints, cars, etc. in FH3?
Will there be an auction house?
Is there a painting feature, or do you just choose from pre-packaged liveries?
I am somewhat interested in Horizon 3, even though I really haven’t warmed up to the first two games in the series. If I ever get on the Xbox 1 bandwagon, it will be because I want to play FH3…
I have heard some good things about it, and many friends have mothballed their 360’s, leaving me with … (sound of crickets)
As far as I’m aware, they haven’t confirmed or denied gifting in FH3, but following the other next-gen Forza games I would assume gifting won’t be a feature.
I love being able to gift stuff to other players, but I’m also sick of people spamming the same stolen designs/decals/tunes on 3, 4, and H1. I can understand why gifting won’t return, and I can’t say I’m all that upset. I’m hoping a “collaboration” feature will be implemented at some point though.

Nothing’s changed from the previous iterations, but we may be able to add decals to rims now. There’s a pic of a widebody BMW with Forza decals on the rims. I don’t think Turn 10/PG has commented on it, unfortunately.
I thought FH1 was fantastic. The lack of tuning, auction house, and a way of setting up custom events ruined the longevity of it compared to FM4, but it’s still a very fun game. And I love that I could take a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and convert it to rally-spec; I don’t care how stupid it sounds, it’s freaking awesome. Lol
Same here. Aside from the few of us still on FM4, none of my friends play 360 anymore.
It was fun doing some of the Challenges.
With using my Microsoft wheel, some of the tracks are very difficult. Especially if there is a long straight and a hairpin at the end.
I use ABS braking to keep from locking up the brakes or the engine dying when I use “Manual/Clutch” around slow corners.
I ran the 3 cars last night and found the B Class was the easiest.
I saved my replays, but now probably won’t need to post them up on the Storefront as I got my personal best on each car.

I’ll still be playing Forza 3 and 4 because I’m not happy how Turn 10 has changed their view of Forza with never trying to fix many bugs and not talking about them.
Placing the sticky sections around the edge of the Indy Oval was probably the worst thing to do in my view.
I am only at 50% in Forza 4 and around 92% in Forza 3 . So I’ll be trying to finish Both.
My computer won’t accept Forza on the PC, so that’s a no go there.

Shame its gone so quiet and people have moved on. The contests you ran did get a good turn out when you see the activity on the forums, so well done for keeping it going. How many games can boast a community still going after all these years? I really wish I could have ran more of them but keep getting the 360 out of the box and setting it up with the time I have was a nightmare! I was hoping Forza 4 would be backwards compatible by now.
Looking back at the first KOTT I had the first post!!!
I’m not a fast racer and never set the leaderboards alight, but had great fun running them and collected some great cars along the way.
So thanks Kool and the gang for the good times.
I held off on Horizon 1 in large part for it’s lack of tuning. I finally did buy it, played it… and am still “meh” about it. I also downloaded and (mostly) played that free Horizon (was it Fast & Furious?) - and I still don’t quite “get it”.

Hey, what’s up guys?!?
Sorry I haven’t been around in a while, but I inadvertently took a vacation that doesn’t seem to have an end.
I’m still messing around on FM4, just haven’t had home internet for a while now, so don’t know when or if I will be back.
Hopefully FH3 lives up to the hype, and I can get Net back, so we can all meet up on the Forza front again. Being a huge Horizon fan, I’m really excited about the possibility Horizon game play with FM4 community.

Whether or not you’ll like Horizon depends quite heavily on the music. It’s what sets the atmosphere, so it has a pretty big impact on the enjoyability of the game. For me anyway.
If I’m driving around at night with my Aventador (get one of those and only equip the race exhaust, it’s a fantastic car to free roam in) and 1901 by Phoenix is playing, I’ll be a lot happier than if Bom Bom was playing (and making me wish I was deaf). Also helps if you’ve got friends to compete against in rivals mode, specifically rally. looks at CFunk ; 3
Yeah, that’s the one. Unfortunately the 360 port of FH2 was intentionally made to be as bad as possible, so it’s pretty unlikely for someone that feels “meh” about the Horizon series to like it any better after playing the FH2 360 port. That includes FH2: F&F.

I probably won’t have an X1 for quite a long while still, but yeah, I think our best long term plan is to meet back on FH3. And assuming the community features from FH3 carry over to FM7, we’ll be back in business. : )
Gonna be awkward to be amongst so many people again though. I quite like our little group on here. Lol
