I have never used any games from the Windows store before trying Forza 6 Apex. So I’m wondering how I will know when the game has updates available. Would any updates come through Windows updates or do I need to check with Windows Store?
Really looking forward to trying my three separate and individually connected USB input controllers with this title ( G29 | CSP V3 | CSS SQ ) so I don’t want to miss any updates as they arrive.
Looked through the FAQ sticky in this forum but didn’t see anything related to this. Thank you.
Forza 6 Apex should update via Windows Store, because it’s a UWP Application.
a update rolled today no official change log yet
but here is the short list
- reduced gpu memory usage
- support for unlocked fps/disabling vsync
-fixed cpu core affinity issues on some platforms
Oh I see, thank you berndhoehne, so when any updates come through the Windows Store do you receive notifications on the desktop / taskbar type of thing, I guess?
I didn’t get any notice of an update and checking in the store doesn’t find one.
Same here but I’m in a different time zone, usually a day behind so I’ll check the store tomorrow. At Ieast have some clue how to get the updates now, cheers fellas.
No notifications (yet, they should really add it). But you can turn on auto updates on the store.
I haven’t received an update yet in the UK, i’ve checked the Windows Store manually a few times for updates but there doesn’t seem to be anything available. Hopefully this update might resolve issues with screen-tearing on mobile GPU’s with Optimus.
I think that there is no update, no news see anywhere and twitter they have not said anything.

Can anyone confirm that you needed to download the whole game again just to patch it?

Patch seems to be 236MB, on my PC at least. Just downloaded and installed in a few seconds.
Are you sure because I downloaded 18.8GB. It definitely downloaded more than 236MB for me at least.

I haven’t seen it yet. Still no option in the game to disable V-sync or set higher than 60fhz target. I’m on a 144hz panel with G-sync and I’ve been holding off on playing this game until it gets patched
I checked for updates for Windows 10 and updates in the store, itself but nothing
I have no ability to update, just to open the app. Wonder why some get it and others do not?
