Best lap time at end of the race

My first Forza was Forza Horizon 1. Among the various features of the game, one that made me addicted was the presentation of a friend’s best lap time after the end of a race, with the option to challenge at that moment. Me and a group of friends who played it, we were always fighting for the best times.

In Forza Motorsport 5, this just got even better, displaying your position in the world rankings, in addition to your friends’ time. However, in later games this feature was removed, and the rivals mode was increasingly left aside.

I would like you to display this information again at the end of the races, as it was in FM5.

I love the option of show the best time of my friends at the end of a race

I would also like if you see your best time ever on that particular track in the same class.
So we see the time you drove and also the best time on that track in the same class.
I usually test drive on the same track and it would give a better indication of the tune is better or worse.

In Motorsport 7 you can still see best lap times after a race you host, but you have to go into the race setup menu and page down to find the ‘compare best lap times’ setting.

I would also add to your suggestion that best times should display regardless of clean or “dirty” lap status. I want to know what my overall best lap was and if I clipped an apex too much and exceeded track boundaries to get it, then I’ll know I need to be more careful. But my best time should always be displayed.

Yes please

Need this big time. Makes for great conversations about the game with friends. Encourages more people to play.

I know the game lists cars’ fastest laps, but I’d like more information post-race. I’d like to see each car’s lap times on every lap, and maybe even sector times. I’d like infographics charting each car’s tire wear, including what compound they were running, and fuel use throughout the race. Maybe we could have graphs showing how car positions changed over the race. These might require multiple tabs.

I know not everyone will care about such information; probably just a slim number of really hardcore enthusiasts, but it seems like it shouldn’t be a massive project to add these.

I guess one problem would be that this would make it more obvious that the AI cars start the race on a higher skill level before dropping down to the player-selected skill level after a bit.
