Lap record mystery?

I dont know about anyone else but i found f4 a lot clearer when it came to finding info. on beating my personnel best times than f6.On f4 the info. post race would tell you straight away if you had beaten your best time or not by highlighting it in green, but there is no info. regarding this at all now,so unless you note down all your times how do you know if you have improved or not without constantly referring to the leader boards?

I look at the leaderboards before each race and after each race. That’s the only way I can tell, in league racing. In rivals and during career mode I get on screen messages during the race that tell me when I beat a rivals time and who the next rival is.
So it seems like the info is out their. It’s just presented a little differently.
At least that’s how I have been able to make it work for me.

In addition to what hippie said: When you cross the line or sectors lines you should see green or red times to splits and best lap in the race if your not you may have HUD turned off or dare with HUD off

I’ve always thought that there should be a section for each track with your top 5 lap times listed and what car you did it in. It doesn’t need to be public just something to track personal bests. I’ve often wondered in the past just how many seconds off one car may be from another and if its really tight then maybe there’s a tweak in the tune that will get you that few seconds.

That feature was in FM2 and will never come back despite literally years worth of requests to bring it back.

Excel workbooks are about all you can do now.

I’m not that ambitious. When I started in FM4 I’d make notes but that didn’t last very long and I soon had a stack of cryptic of Post Its and no idea what 1/2 of them meant.

Laugh, I know what you mean. I’m jotting down little snippets of notes all the time, my desk is full of them and not really knowing what is for what. The wife sighs and shrugs everytime she walks into my office. Lol. I also did the Exel thing for Forza 3 but found by the time I pulled up the cars for what track the timer had run out and I was in the wrong car. Getting to old and slow.LOL

If only there was some type of advanced computing device that could do that automatically for us underachievers and non OCD players.
