Curious what cars you guys enjoy driving the most in either stock or full upgraded settings (or better yet, both).
Could be in pure feel or pure performance or the ultimate reward of both in one car.
Some cars feel great stock, then feel sloppy fully upgraded. Some feel not great stock but come alive fully upgraded. Some do both well.
I enjoyed my Jesko a lot but something changed with it after the update.
I just fully upgraded the SF90 and that thing is a beast and nice grip but not the greatest nimbleness.
Porsche 919 unfortunately isn’t as good as it should be.
The Japanese tuner cars with full upgrades are a blast but messy.
The Nio handles amazing but lacks the emotion (and interestingly enough, accel(?) of gas cars).
Curious what you guys think.
Top of my head:
Alfa Roméo 4C in B class no aero (great mid engine balance)
Subaru Levorg GT in TC Featured MP Spec (more exciting than FWD)
Porsche Taycan Turbo S in stock form (extremely effective)
Ginetta G55 GT4 in Forza GT4 spec (great front engine balance)
Chevrolet Corvette C8 E-Ray in stock form (closer to Z06 than I thought)
Those cars, with the exception of the Taycan and E-Ray, were used in online multiplayer races. I’m using a controller so I avoid ultra grippy LMP type stuff.
I like cars that have lot of grip while sliding a bit, there are not that many, but some older cars, and most of GTX cars.
Oh brz spec tune is nice
It’s just high level classes and it’s not fun anymore.
Do they only make game breaking updates?
Aren’t they just going to race normal cars anymore?
Probably not gonna be everyone’s cup of tea, but here are some of mine:
2017 Nissan GTR, engine swapped to the 3.2 inline 6, all driveline, chassis, tires, brake upgrades. Not fast in a straight line, but corners like nobody’s business.
Nissan R390, engine swapped to 3.2, all upgrades. Idiot proof S class car.
MK2 VW golf GTI, widebody and all chassis, driveline, tire, and brake upgrades- stock engine. If you gear it right it does OK, but that car is a great learning tool for preserving momentum.
AMC javelin, 4.3 inline 6 swap, all chassis, brake, driveline and tire upgrades. If you get it set up right, it handles way better than it has any right to, and racing in free mode (with class set to B, and “any” for car division) vs the AI in much later model cars is both challenging and funny on the replays. The Olds Cutlass also does pretty well too.
The 2018 Acura NSX. I think its a 1.4 Turbo (could be 1.8) swap, all chassis upgrades as the others, widebody. You end up with a S800 chassis and B class power in A class- and the 9spd trans will let the engine stay in its happy place (after you get past lap 1). Really challenging car to race with due to the lack of power (pick your spots for passing carefully) but a lot of fun anywhere that isn’t lemans or a superspeedway.
