Best car for each class?

I just want a couple of cars for each class which are the best in their respective classes.

B class Buick regal GNX and vw beetle
A class Alfa 33

What about S and R class?

Go look at the leader boards that should show you the fastest cars in each class, you will need a few cars just for straight speed tracks also.

The older, the better. That seems to be the Golden Rule.

S class the zagato is amazing

They are all good cars with the exception of a few. But for the most part the best car of a given class is purely subjective because you can take any car in most class, upgrade and tune it, and based on your driving style turn it into a winner.

I’m the type that likes to pick and tune odd or unloved cars based on affinity, but there are certainly some that are clearly faster than others. Like when you join last week’s contact league in your Fairlady Z and half the rest of the field is running Buicks…

I had one amusing moment when I was running a Camaro SS and one of the faster Regal drivers was amazed when I pulled on him at high speeds.

For 80% of S Class races, I use a Caterham. Although it doesn’t have the top end speed, it makes up for this with epic punch out of the corners.

Best non leaderboard cars imo
C Class - Honda S2000
B Class - Holden Commadore
A Class - 02 Camaro, 2016 Miata
S Class - Ferrari 599 is quite good, so is the Noble M600
R Class - Just learn how to drive a Can-Am Car
P Class - Puegot 908 or Daytona Prototype
X Class - Lotus F1 Car

honda and holden both have #1 times.

C and B is more about engine swaps/builds than cars.

I’ve set a few number 1 times in the Honda, but I don’t think it’s ‘overpowered’ just a quality car.

To find the best cars in each class is easy, just look at the leaderboards for each class and track. You can download many of the leaderboard tunes as they’ve been shared. Outside of the leaderboard cars it’s purely subjective and a matter of personal preference as to what is best. Many non leaderboard cars can be competitive but there are also some that are just absolute turkeys no matter how much you tune em.

If you’re looking for leaderboard times in rivals, it’s easy to figure out what’s the fastest. If you’re racing hoppers, almost anything with a half decent tune can get you a podium finish if you’re adept at avoiding the wrecks. Just drive whatever you like.

P class, Mazda 787b
R class #5 Lotus (76 F1 car) (in most cases besides tracks like ovals or le mans)
S class 2008 Viper

R class - short grip tracks any Can-Am car (Mclaren M8B for example). Longer power tracks you want the Ultima, the saleen s7, ovals you can use those 2 or a Koenigsegg.

To be fair if your half decent at the game most of the cars in r class can be competitive. Any of the gt cars such as the Aston DBR9 round most grip tracks.

What about just using cars that are fun to drive and not leaderboard cars? I could care less about what cars top the leaderboards…

OK so again Saleen S7, the Lykin Hypersport is awesome as is the Ferrari F40 or even the Jaguar XJ220. Grip cars try the Lancia or maybe the Nismo GTR (if you can find a tune that doesn’t stall at the start).

I always loved the La Ferrari in FM5 - never the most competitive car in R class but still great fun. It’s actually less competitive in FM6 but is probably my most used r class car online.

Hope that helps
