Is it just me or is the spare tire on the back larger than the tires on the actual car?
I had to have a look
I see what you’re saying but think it’s just a wonky perspective issue thing. Getting down low in photo mode and swinging around between the spare and a rear wheel they look the same size at the right angle.
Spare tyre is closer to camera unless you use photo mode. That’s why it looks bigger. Perspective is a thing. For that same reason IRL sun looks same size as moon (if you look through filter) even though it’s much bigger.
I am aware of how perspective works. I was moving the camera around the car in Forzavista mode right after I bought it and that’s when it bugged me, but I wasn’t sure if it was an optical illusion. I’m pretty sure it’s NOT an illusion on a couple of more modern off-road pickups with that Forza rally spare tire upgrade for the back.
But of more importance now is what that picture is from. At first I thought it might be Pertwee’s Doctor explaining something to Tommy in Planet of the Spiders…
Father Ted. Definitely worth a watch if you haven’t seen it. Don’t know how well it travels though.
“These cows are small but the ones out there are far away”.
If it was me setting up that blower Bently or the Mercedes SSK, I would sure as heck leave that spare in the pit for a three-lapper, to save the weight. If I blow a tire on the circuit I’ll walk back to the pit and send the crew out for the car.
