Good Afternoon people.
I have always loved the Forza games but sadly never been car mad in real life.
So when it comes to tuning , don’t have a clue.
I am looking for any basic guides for beginners to tuning who know little to nothing about motors as this is one aspect of the game i have always ignored but have always wanted to learn about to get the most out of the game.
Thank You Guys !!

Read around, there’s a lot of tuning guide.
If you have any specific question, I will gladly answer them. (As many other people)

Theres loads of guides about tuning as drows mentioned so have a read and give it a go,when yr tuning see where you or your car is struggling and ask for help with that on here,Biggest tip i can give as im a newbie myself is when yr putting parts on ignore things that enhance power and concentrate on handling try and squeeze as much handling in as you can before you even think about power, also try looking at some open source tunes to get little tips and pointers.
Good luck.

As other mentioned…there are quite a few guides around. Definitely checkout Worms guide:
Worms Tuning Guide
I have a video on how I setup a base tune here (hopefully not against the rules to post this??):
Setting up a base tune
Everyone does it a little different and your driving style and the assists you use can make a big difference.

1.what assist? Do you run
2. I beg to differ on handling no disrespect to the above but what I recommend is multiple tunes just like in real life race car teamed don’t just set up a car saying we need handling and tracks are different so your car won’t perform on yas like it would on old lemans you fallow? Gearing camber caster toe aero and tire pressure are all things to keep in mind honestly if you can drive it even if the handling isn’t there but you don’t smash every thing then you got a solid tune…a small tip a faster cornering car will win 90 % of the time…I am ranked number one on yas marina self tuned! Go check out a few of my tunes and see what they are made of.

Worm’s guide at the top of this forum is pretty much essential reading, however if you want to start more slowly, just set up a car with only a handful of adjustable parts.
Try putting only adjustable springs in a car and tune only using springs and tire pressure. When I first got Forza 5, I spent a lot of time just getting a feel for the springs and tires, Then you can slowly add things like anti-roll bars, etc. I’m still learning myself.
Don’t worry about building “leaderboard” cars that are putting up top times. Find a fun lower end car and build it. Then keep making it faster and handle better.
