Becoming a Moderator

Great questions Blue028, I am interested in the answer as well if anything just to know how these things work.

With all the talk on this thread I have actually decided to try and do my part and save replays. Today I have saved 6 replays of the same person, later on will put all the info together and send it off to snow owl to take care of. This is a much slower process which why I wish we had a better vote to kick system or some type of moderator to remove them from the lobby. I could have left this lobby but I stayed in it on purpose just to see if this person was going to continue intentionally wrecking people, which he did, and I saved every replay until I left. I wound up sending him a message after the first race because he waited and intentionally hit the guy in first into the pits on the first lap, then started laughing obnoxiously. On the last lap of the race he did the same thing to some one else and took me out too from 2nd place, caused me to loose 5-6 spots. So anyway I sent him message and gave him a fair warning that if kept intentionally hitting people he has the possibility of getting banned. He then proceded to talk in the lobby to me saying " I’m retaliating, they hit me first." And that t10 will look at both sides of the replay. I never talked to him in lobby, I just let him talk. As some of you may have heard retaliating is just as bad as wrecking, and can result in a ban just as evenly, one reason is you take out other people when you hit the person you’re after. He also was trash talking me in lobby after I sent it, which draws me to the question was it worth it to even send him a message. I just feel like its right send them a warning first and maybe they will stop. It also depends what kind of people they are, whether or not I send anything. If they just go after everyone and have no intention on racing I don’t bother. But people like I just described are not that bad at driving, they’re ok, they are average. The thing is they are targeting specific people in “retaliation” which is why I feel the need to send them a warning first. I don’t know maybe I’m just too nice with that and should just go all out with the reporting system.

you are best off not messaging him, sometimes it makes them worse

if they start sending you abusive messages then forward that on to the xbox live enforcement team and they will not only give them a forza ban but probably a xbox live ban as well

Lol everyone is taking this way out of context, the dude had wrecked me, I sent him a simple message asking him if can please stop that was it. I did that because he was targeting specific people and when he hit those people, others like me got caught up in it. No further communicating happened after that. No drama there if ask me. I said a simple 5 word sentence to the guy and that’s it.

And regarding the comment about how would I like it someone sent me messages about my driving. Theres a simple answer to that. Don’t drive like a lunatic and the messages won’t come your way. I’m sure many people/all the wreckers have gotten hundreds of messages sent to them regarding the way they are playing. Also when I clicked this guy’s profile his rep was in the orange, needs work. Clearly showing he’s been banned before.

It’s still best not to poke the bear I’ve done it twice myself out of pure rage, like you said nothing crazy just asked them to be more respectful of others on the track. That’s when they go totally insane on the next race and try even harder to cause probs for everyone in the race.

I’ve wanted to comment on so many “why am I banned threads” before they were locked, but have been able to hold myself back even when it’s the GT I reported. Best just to report and let the mods take the hate mail, sorry mods for that but I’m sure you guys have pretty thick skin at this point and really just get a good laugh at most of the PMs you get.
