Dwood and others if you would like to send me a XBL party chat and it would be my honor to try and help build you a car to let you be more competitive. I will get the team on building some cars once i find out what class you would like to run. Please hit me up asap my gamertag is ERS JOHNSON.
because of age & disability have to use fullassist the diff between no assist & full assist to great
This is a perfect example where having hoppers based on Rival times would have fixed an issue prior to it being one…at least in multiplayer.
dont worry about hot lap times they mean nothing.
join a race league site theres the real fun, that way you will always find your level meaning fast or slow you will find racers at your level to compete with.
This has been one of the more interesting posts for a long time with lots of good suggestions here. It never crossed my mind about how hard it is for some guys to race and enjoy this game, I suppose many of us gamers just take things for granted so well done to the op for bringing this to the masses.
I think the suggestion of assist specific leader boards is a fantastic idea and may be t10 can impliment, in an update in the future or include it in f6. Also the drivatar suggestion is good where its at your assist level, this is great and positive idea’s for the future.
I too have a disability and it causes my right hand to cramp after about 20 minutes of using the controller. I see that it has been mentioned already, but have you thought about a wheel. I know that it’s an expensive alternative, but it has helped me out tremendously and I don’t have to worry about cramping after 20 min of playing.
ers make it r or x class where the auto tranny isn’t a liability as much. he probably wont win in x class with auto brakeing but he shouldn’t finish last either. for r class the '08 dodge viper or the #09 austin. either of those should keep him in the pack. if its a full room he has a good chance of getting a medal. i already have cars that can win but its been so long i cant remeber what the tunes were called or who made them. but i do know i’ve won with auto tranny and auto braking, i got the lead dog badge and the 350 medals online or what ever it was. i used normal steering. and theer are a few places like prague where your car will brake on the straight but i was still in the middle of the pack even there.
Yeah im willing to make anything in any class but if they would like something specific i could do that as well. The team and i will be building some automatic cars that should be very fast and easy to drive from D class to X class… I will have a new description for them as well…
if you run out of save slots let me know and i’ll donate a few. dont know how i’ll get you the credits tho. name them something so people can find them even under my gamertag. and include your name or team name so people know who’s they are and where the credit goes. maybe mechberg could even transfer the credtis from my account to since its for a good cause and special circumstance. but increasing save slots would be an even better solution. there are what, 8 classes? 5 cars per class would be 40 slots. i can donate that many. and maybe the disabled people would also use some of their slots for you incase you guys run out of slots in the future. ohh and make everything you need me to host for you non dlc. i doubt i can upload a tune for a car i dont have.
Yeah man im not worried about credits you can have them… Im going to start naming the tunes (FM5 AUTO) for those who are having trouble using manual/manual with clutch.
All of those cars hopefully will be able to compete with others and will be very stable. Im not sure how well this will work but lets give it a shot. Also make sure not to use any car that has to shift before redline (1.6L rally motor) because it wont shift when you need it to.
ERS JOHNSON and rdo3,
I think it’s great what you are doing to help out some of the less fortunate players we have here. But as one of these players I still beleive we should have the option of configuring which buttons we want to have as accelarate or brake, gear up or gear down and clutch. In such a complex and modifiable game why is this option not here? In a modern world I don’t see why it is not in every game.
Obviously driving styles play a huge part in each individual tune so what’s good for one may not be good for another.
I also see when you are talking about the classes that the higher the class the impact of auto vs manual is less of issue but I believe this is mainly only for the majority of gifted racers or people that run these classes all the time.
Since Forza 2 which is when I started playing I have always driven s class cars because there is so much scope of cars and builds to use in handling and speed builds.
The other great thing is finding which cars you like or the ones that work for you.
Now we have control methods, I personally use method 12 and I use the right analogue stick to brake and accelarate but I’m sure this is harder than using the triggers because there is still less control because there is less travel so it’s harder to be more precise. Now if there was the ability to just assign rb to gears so I could use rb and rt for gear up and gear down I could use manual even without clutch I still know I would be instantly faster.
I could personally go on and on about this but I’m sure people will get bored of me saying this but customisable controls are going to help out a lot of players and not just me.
Dare I say it but Gran Turismo has this option and has done for as long as i can remember and this is where I started playing racing games. But Forza stole my heart and this is where I want to be.
Please Turn 10 at least give us the option to CUSTOMISE OUR OWN CONTROL LAYOUT! Yes I am shouting but we are also in the year 2014!
I agree. And I agree simply for the sake of realism. For example traction control should not slow you down so much, they used it off and on in F1 several years, same with abs, there is race spec traction control and abs tech available. The fact is that when they were not banned F1 teams used them because it made the car go faster around the track, they were not mandatory to use in all of those years but teams did because it took time off of laps.
Auto shifting sadly makes you much slower than manual. The car will downshift too soon and lock up the tires causing a skid and loss of control, for example. Auto braking also is horrid. Try the wheel. There is a relatively inexpensive non ffb wheel now.
Hi all I lost my left arm in Iraq. I cant drive most cars or tracks with out assists. I did find that the open wheel cars and the Indy oval track i can do this track with out assists but cant use manual. i run this in rivals. If i feel like online racing i do the drag racing. I use the controller, I cant afford 500 dollars for the wheel.
