I’m trying to get at least the first level of each badge unlocked - just a query on this one, I’m now assuming it does not count ones you beat during career play, as I must have gone way beyond 60 on those. But I don’t want to bother trying in Rivals itself if that’s not the case, and it just isn’t unlocking for me…
Also the one to play multiplayer tag games isn’t unlocking - does it not count in private matches? It seems so hard to convince people to play tag in this game as it is, especially compared to Horizon’s playground games :). Cheers.
Also if I could get a few d/ls and likes to get one paint to 5 stars for that badge, mine for the #007 Aston Martin Racing DBR9 is at 4 stars ;). Nothing special to trouble the paint forum with, but that would be fantastic!
If you want to spend less time loading new tracks and you are just trying to grind out the badge make sure to find a track you haven’t set a time on and sand bag. You can get a whole bunch of rivals knocked down in one session if you sand bag. It also works best to get a track/class where none of your friends have set a time either so you can start from the actual bottom of the list and work up. Unless they’ve recently broken that badge, it is a badge that works.
I have noticed in some of the rivals events people have set ridiculously slow times, presumably to help others with this sort of thing, which is cool, but I’m not going to sit for hours to sandbag some of them …
assuming I’ve understood that concept lol :).
I’ll work on that with this knowledge, and max some more affinities along the way!
You don’t need to set a time of hours, just set an initial time that is a minute or so slower than you are capable of, and if you start off by making sure each lap is dirty will help as well (they rank lower than clean laps).
For example you can do a 3 minute lap. Do a 4 minute lap that is dirty first, then a 3:45 lap that is dirty, then a 3:30 lap that is dirty, then a 3:15 lap that is dirty, then a 3 minute dirty lap and then a 4 minute clean lap, and so on…
Yeah, there’s certainly diminishing returns. Your standing start lap just dirty it and lift on the final straight to sand bag a bit. You’ll get another easily beatable rival, keep dirtying your lap while sand magging a little bit less each time. Then finally when you get to people with fast dirty laps start working on clean laps. The first people you get will be people on standing start laps and what not so you can stop for a few seconds on a lap and gradually just work your way up. You won’t get 60 done in one session still but you can easily get 10 or more. I certainly wasn’t suggesting that your sand bagging involve sitting there not driving for minutes on end.
