Hello everyone,
I have noticed the amount of drag tune sharing on the forums here has been minimal. Since the beginning of FM6, the majority of my time playing the game has gone into competitively tuning and racing drag cars as that is where I found the most enjoyment in the previous Forza releases (now if only we could get T10 to give us some drag rivals events or at least some sort of drag-related leaderboard). I have never been active on these forums before, but this is something that I feel the public deserves to have access to.
That said, I am going to start a list of tunes that I have shared and believe are fairly competitive. Feel free to follow me, as I have tuned or will be tuning the majority of the cars that I deem competitive in comparison to others in their PI range as well as some of the popular, but not as fast cars (particularly all Dodges SUCK for drag in this installment of Forza for some reason). I will be updating this list over time as I complete more cars or improve the ones I have already posted. I generally list the times that I have achieved in the description upon sharing them. Some are capable of faster times (I.e. I just ran an 8.078 with my '40 coupe this morning that was previously listed as 8.109 capable), and some I have driven into the ground trying to get a few more thousandths of a second out of. The majority of these cars are all RWD and S or R-class vehicles. They are all tuned specifically for 1/4mi test but are generally competitive in the other locations and lengths. Some fair better than others, but that has not been my focus. Some work better with a drop-catch launch just below redline and some are full throttle tunes (test track only obviously). All of this will be outlined in the tune descriptions and potentially here in the future.
I will not claim that all of these are the fastest possible tunes out there, but all of them are very good for those who don’t have the ability to or don’t want to tune cars faster than simple benchmark tunes.
My only request in return for these is that you go back and like them IF they perform for you as I have described. More credits for me:) I will also try to take the time to see what I can do with car requests if it doesn’t get too out of hand. Just remember that some cars, naturally, just don’t fair as well in drag as others, but I will do my best to get you the fastest times out of the cars of your choice.
Cars that I have currently shared tunes for:
'40 Ford De Luxe Coupe (tune claims 8.1s, but I have been doing consistent 8.0s with it)
'49 Merc Coupe
'56 Ford F-100
'63 VW Beetle (Beware left pull. Spent a lot of time trying to get it to go straight easier without hurting times, but this was close to the best balance I could get of the two options.)
'69 Dodge Charger Daytona
'69 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
'66 Chevrolet Nova
'69 Chevrolet Nova
'79 Chevrolet Camaro
'02 Chevrolet Camaro
'70 Buick GSX
'87 Buick Regal GNX
'77 Holden Torana
'68 Alfa 33 Stradale (updated as of 11/7/15. Much more stable tune capable of full throttle launches, but no new personal best yet with drop catch.)
'73 BMW 2002 Turbo
'75 Fiat X1/9
'15 Ford Mustang GT
'93 Ford SVT Cobra R
'95 Ford SVT Cobra R
'99 Lotus Elise
Ultima GTR
FF Supra (both awd and rwd)
'89 Toyota MR2
'91 E30 BMW M3
'92 Honda Nsx-R
Gmc Syclone (this is an old awd tune I did shortly after release. Working on rwd still as there are a lot of equally competitive tunes for this one out there)
'15 Dodge Challenger Hellcat
