B700 Drift - Seasonal Challenge

B700 Drift on Farmland Trail for a season Challenge. Sounded difficult … but I like a challenge.

Score: 195,000 - Nailed it  well at least for me (good tuner - poor drifter)
Car: 1992 Volkswagen Golf GTI 16V Mk2
Tune: 133 912 490
Paint: 260 433 648 (sorry - couldn’t resist a 3-way pun)
Photo: 114 348 947

Try the tune it worked great - even with B700 power.

Let me know what you think

Stock 97 M3. Simples.

can’t leave it at that, post your score
I ain’t good at this drifting lark I shouldn’t be to hard to beat.

I try to do the PR stunts waiting for the co-op timer to run out.

I’d got an Auto Union with some sort half baked road tune and nearly got it until the clock went zero and got pulled into the co-op lobby at the last gasp. Never mind.

doing the zone really quite badly in that golf I got 165k first go, missed loads of points with my driving!

edit - I edited out the important bit - stock, not tuned

seriously, try the tune above, I ain’t good at drifting, I compensate with the tuning, that was with auto box , no traction, no stability. It’s AWD so you can drive it around easy, and it is far less likely to spin
Looking for feedback , good or bad, but please tell me why as well as whether you like it or not.

Oh, I think 185k, not that far off my pb so not bad for a stock b class one shot.

not bad at all

How about trying with my tune and giving me some feedback, I know I wouldn’t get that score from a stock B class, the feedback would be nice from someone who knows what they are doing

Not a fan of AWD drifting setups myself and I’m not the person to critique

189k west/east run
190k reverse

good of you to post this stuff, you seem to be asking for help - I am not very good at the game, don’t really know how to tune sensibly and only really know a pretty simple way to drift so I can’t give much advice but keep up the good work

Way better than I could do in RWD, I came up with this trying to get the 10 arcade mini games in 5 hours, and having to drive between events. I was after a drift car that I could drive distance easily but still drift in, I also hate manual on a controller, so I wanted something I didn’t have to change gear i, I found the tune made up for my lack of ability drifting, did 3 runs on this one 195k west east, turned did 194k, went and redesigned its paint job went back did 194k, gave trying to beet 200 as I was getting worse

I think it’s the tune not me, but only way to tell is to get others to try it. if you want something faster my main go to is the Formula drift #99 Mazda RX-8 2009.
Tune: 151 602 773

By all means come back and slate it if I’m wrong

Not bad

Got 180,000 with your tune and got the drift zone, so thank you. Then did a 230,000 with a 4WD tune [135 285 601] I rustled up just there. Whenever I want a ‘get the job done’ 4WD drift, I lock it into first gear, I never use drift tyres - just stock, drag and snow tyres.

If you think the D class was good try this:

Car: #99 MAZDA RX-8 2009
Tune: 151 602 773
Paint: 686 298 756

My go to car

Similar tunes up for all Formula drifts plus others just search Creator: dalepgray

Please repot back especially if you spot something that will improve it.

PS I drive them in automatic gearbox, it uses drift tires. The suspension and diff are drift but they are so heavily modified could have used race. The gearbox is a 7-speed with tall first gear, the drift box caps it’s top speed.

I’ve raced this in circuit, street, dirt and off road against highly skilled and won, and can still pull a 226k on this drift circuit. I love this car

As an aside, my best PB on this drift zone is a 246k with the a C class Ford Transit mK1

You’ve done better than me best I’ve managed is 226k.

Yes I love the Transit Mark 1. I’ve got a drift tune for it but it was a while ago could probably do better now, also got an Unbeatable beater tune for it which was fun designing as I went AWD rather than the classic version that is RWD.
