The Trial was fun, Derwent is one of my fav tracks. And PGG…trucks! Yes! It sounds like a bust, but it was actually a lot of fun.
The Trial - so I ran three cars so far. First was the Volvo 242, already had it tuned up and I like the livery. Quite fast…but very little grip. Running stock tires, and some engine add-ons. You need to break short to keep from sliding into the barriers, but once you get the hang of it, it performs well. Handles gravel pretty well considering, but wet tarmac is its downfall. The first race, there was an AI in a Ford RS1800 or 1600 that I just could not catch, it was way out there. Reeled it in near the end but never close enough to get past it. Every race since then, was never an issue. Then tuned a 77 Ford RS1800. Traction monster. I was able to upgrade the tires. It held turns well, but did not have that top end. It didn’t hurt it too much because it always made time sticking to the track. Might try to ease up a little and squeak some more speed out of it. Last was a 74 Lancia Stratos. At first I wanted to keep it RWD…which is not my strong suit. And wow, yeah, not a good combo for me. Switched it to AWD, the stats seemed to suffer…but was almost as good as the Volvo. Not as much quickness, but had decent speed and definitely more stable. The problem was, I was with in with a “Nice driving”/“See ya!” group. Though it did make it more satisfying to pass them, the extra combat not so much. One of them was in the only Sunbeam I have seen this Trial.

PGG - Yes, trucks. So either someone has been listening to me or someone is just as deranged as I am. You might think this sounds like a disaster, and it’s def not everyone’s cup of tea…but this was good fun. The only thing I wasn’t understanding was the number of times I would ‘phase out’ during Flag Games and an opponent would just sail through me. Gave up two flags that way.

Sinatra Style - Had a 550A already tuned up. Ambleside is a test in patience. It is very easy to overdrive and make a mess of things. Be patient, find a groove and pick your opportunities. The 550A has enough on it, just lazy drive and when you have your opening, just call on it and it will answer. As far as the rest, open it up and let it do its thing. A little slidey but solid performance

German Wheel - I had two tunes for this class; the Macan Turbo and the Jeep Trackhawk. Then I remembered the last time I ran the Trackhawk on tarmac was a total mess, it it a CC setup. The Macan did well. Holds a nice slide in turns and decent power.

Fully Loaded - Did someone say Super Saloons? lol. Bring out the Limo! I am impressed it runs as well as it does. I would just think being on the heavier end would inhibit it more but it seems to do alright though a little slidey. That being said, the events were not as easy this week as I was hoping…and even though I was doing well, it was a struggle. It wasn’t until later when I went do Drag Races and up my difficulty to Unbeatable that I realized I was already there. Oops. I normally run Highly Skilled or Pro depending on class/conditions.

PR Stunts
Danger Sign: Ford RS200 - helps to clear the walls, fences, and other obstacles. Can be done with a lot of different cars, this one is not a tough one.
Zone: Ford RS200 - this is the tough one. I max out at about 90mpg, just a few about what they are asking. I’ll have to try some different ones and see. It’s gravel so I didn’t try the VW IDR…but I mean, it should handle this fine
Trap: Ferrari 599XX Evo. So I haven’t run this in a while but I noticed something odd. At about 200 mph, it seems to sink into the road, feels rough, and I get sparks like it is dragging. Still managed 240+ but it throws off the feel of the car. Is this a glitch or do I have something set up wrong?
