Autumn #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through January 2

Getting 700ft at the rail yard danger sign with a Transit is proving tricky. I know I can use something else but I’ve upgraded this now and don’t want it to defeat me… lol.

I don’t think it is actually possible although I got close. So I threw the towel in and used an HSV.

There wasn’t a Summer championship event with the Divo as a prize - it was the Bugatti EB110.

I think he is taking about the thumbnail of the challenge, it depicted a Divo, but the prize was only a super wheelspin, my son complained about the same thing the other day

Yes the trial is easy most times. I did it four more times and we won 2 out of 4 but it was really rough. They were all going crazy cause they don’t know how to drive on Dirt at all and taking it out on the people who could. Luck has lot to do with it. We should have won all of them but people were acting badly. Sometimes you get stuck on games for a while and it becomes an enormous time waster.

I wanted to do this with the Vandura, but it just wasn’t happening. Took a couple passes with the Transit too. Eventually gave in and used a Ford Pursuit.

I was already in an upgraded Transit Supersportvan Forza Edition and I achieved the target in a couple of goes. I think I went to the right of the ramp. It’s no doubt easier using other Vans And Utility vehicles.

I was already in a Ferrari 599XX Evolution so I used it for all of the PR Stunts. Normally I’d use a Mosler or McLaren Senna for speed zones on roads.

Regarding Vintage Racers, I noticed I’d already got in my garage a Bentley 4 - 1/2 Liter with a really good B700 tune so I used that. It handled exceptionally well, it overtook every one at the first corner and I never saw any of them again. For me it was the easiest of the three championships.

I found the second championship Heading North Cross Country (A800) Extreme Offroad the hardest but I’m glad I did it. I didn’t realize that the Clio was brand new to the game.

It’s interesting to note that the FE version of the Transit has engine swaps that the regular Transit doesn’t have. I swapped the 6,5L V12 in a FE Transit. Its current PI is standing at 953 with a bunch of other upgrades.

Won the trail on 1st try with Opel Manta 400.

Won autumn games 3-0 on 1st try with HDT VK Commodore Group A.

Ah yes that would have helped, I was using the regular Transit which went up to 860 or so.

While they do have thumbnails of the prizes for most of the playlist items, PR stunts don’t follow this. The real prize is indicated over the thumbnail under the mention “REWARD”. Also, the PR stunt OP is referring to is an autumn one in the current series.

I don’t think I am a terrible player. I got 100% for Series 16, 80% for series 15, 100% for Series 17 summer. I do struggle with S2 races. So I didn’t think too much of S17 - Autumn.

But:

  • A 3 star jump with a Van? I’ve got about 200m. Theres trash all over the place that kills my velocity. How?
  • Better With Age? I have the Alpha Romeo P3. Its been fun truing to tune it to do B700 laps around Astmoor. Race it competitively? not so much. It’s undriveable in competition at least at my skill level. Does any of the cars available have a AWD option at B700 level and/or actually sticks to the road?
  • Last Chance Saloon (ok, this one was summer) Can we all just agree to remove Ambleside Village Circuit from the game. This is a hateful race. I have never repeated an A class race as many times as I did this one. I just couldn’t find any saloon that had a p:w ratio capable of actually overtaking the drivatars AND the handling and gearing to make those tight corners and short streets.
  • You. Are. A. You. Why is a simple S1 race so hard? I used to be able to S1.

I need some car hints. Or a skill transplant.

For me Better With Age was the easiest of the three championships.

My recommendation is:

1931 Bentley 4 - 1/2 Liter Supercharged with a tune/upgrade by KikasTG called 700 STOCK ENGINE. It’s AWD of course with exceptional acceleration and launch for the class and good handling. You know you are on to a winner when you can overtake everyone at the first corner and complete 100% of the race when everyone else is 90% or less.

Some like the 1926 Bugatti Type 35 C and waznewz has done a AWD tune/upgrade called BETTER WITH AGE. There are other tunes for this vehicle mentioned earlier in this thread.

Go to Garage. Look for a car, but press Y. filter out Vans and Utility Vehicles. You will see small vehicles in there that can jump further. Tune it with something fast like S2.

Use Ford FPV Limited Edition Pursuit Ute. max it out with lower weight and higher Torque and Power.
Lotus Elise GT1 for You.Are.A.Toy

I’m finally back with my progress on the Trials and Championships. Thought about not doing it this week because I got a bit salty at one. But I figured my frustration may be avoided by somebody else if I shared, so here we go:

  • Trial: Solstice Showdown
  • Car Used: '84 Opel Manta 400 (Autoshow, 100,000 Cr)
  • Tune Used: “Perfect 800 AWD” By Ripperoo UK

I didn’t have much of a struggle of my own on this one, but my first series ended in a 2-1 loss due to some teammates not performing well. Second try, we got 3-0. On the second runthrough, I was able to get 1st on the first two races, and came in 6th on the last one because I tried to get cheeky with a checkpoint and missed.

  • Seasonal Playground Games
  • Car used: '87 Buick Regal GNX (Autoshow, 130,000 Cr)
  • Tune Used: Auto-tuned to A-Class

As usual, a coin flip. Most of my team lagged out during the first game, so I bailed and tried again. Managed to win 3-0 this time, with somebody on the other team (already forget their handle) hanging on at the end as the last team member when it got to a 4-1 King game. Kudos, whomever you were.

  • Championship: Better With Age
  • Car Used: '26 Bugatti Type 35C (Autoshow, 10,000,000 Cr (!))
  • Tune Used: “S17 Cornermaster”,By DrunkenGator

This one was slightly rough, but that’s because these old racers were built for brute power and not handling. That being said, my build doesn’t have the highest top speed but it does handle like a charm. Only hiccup I really had was on the Horizon Festival Circuit. On Unbeatable, it starts you in the corner which robs you of some of your acceleration. Other than getting 2nd there, I aced the other two races.

  • Championship: You. Are. A. TOY!
  • Car Used: '15 Camaro Z/28 (Autoshow, 86,000 Cr)
  • Tune Used: “Seasonal Champ”, By ActiveGrain9756

This one took a while to hit upon a car that worked for me. Tried the Elise, tried the Caterham, the 2-Eleven, and the 3-Eleven. Couldn’t find a tune I liked on any of them that wouldn’t leave me smoked near the end. Finally tried the Camaro, and it clicked for me. Aced this one.

  • Championship: Heading North*
  • Car Used: '14 Local Motors Rally Fighter (Autoshow, 100,000 Cr)
  • Tune Used: “A-Class”, By Drunken Gator

…where do I begin on this one? I had to put an asterisk on this one because I got shamed down to Pro to even beat this. Outside of my skills just not being there yet, It all came down to two issues. First is on the first corner of the first two circuits always started with a massive rugby scrum (and a Regalia D always seemed to be involved), making just getting through the corners a pain. This alone was enough to do my head in, but I also was stymied by a philosophical query:

If a Drivatar drives through an object and neither of them are within the draw distance, do the laws of physics even exist?

Granted, I’ve had it happen on lower difficulties, too. You know what I’m talking about: coming up to a railing or wall you need to go through for a Cross Country course and there’s no logical hole where the car that’s way in front could have gone through. Probably a limitation of the game engine, but it’s still a bit of an annoyance, especially with all the railings and benches on North City Cross Country.

Hi all,

Cars/tunes for this weeks seasonal. All tunes are my own, all shared but for one (see below).

Trial: “Solstice Showdown” | Dirt Racing | (A800) Rally Monsters
Car: 1980 Renault 5 Turbo ‘FE’
Tune: A800 dirt stable

Had to do a few runs at this till I got competent team mates. While the Opel is faster, the Renault is far more stable, and faster through corners. Car is easily able to score points, keep up with pack.
I even missed a checkpoint in one race, dropped to 12th yet finished in 3rd.

Seasonal Playground Games | Bamburgh Castle | (A800 Retro Muscle)
Car: 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA (Autoshow, 25,000 Cr)
Tune: A800 games sand

Again, once the teammates were good, winning was a breeze. Car/tune is easily able to out preform the ‘stock’ options people choose, has grip, accelerates fast (on sand). Might not be fastest, but certainly fast enough (did not get matched against all options, especially not against tuned versions of all options)

Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

Championship: “You. Are. A. TOY!” | Street Scene | (S1 900) Track Toys
Car: 2013 Bently Continental GT Speed ‘FE’
Tune: S900 AWD FE

Capable of an easy win, only ‘native’ AWD option (well the non ‘FE’ version is native AWD - but wrong class, 'FE" is RWD so I switched it to AWD) .

Championship: “Better With Age” | Road Racing | (B700) Vintage Racers
Car: 1939 Auto Union Type D (Autoshow, 10,000,000 Cr)
Tune: B700 road rwd

RWD because RWD. Warning - stock tyres. Car is slippery, especially in first race in rain, coast through corners, accelerate out, watch the power slide, if it gets beyond about 15 degrees grip will vanish. very easy win on both sprints if you don’t mess up a corner, circuit win is more than possible, you just have to have the moments to pass.

For the Extreme offroad championships I used the Warthog, tune is basically ‘Don Joewon Song’s’ tune, hence not shared. Tunes is for FH3, found on his youtube channel. While a handful, this car will easily win.

Cheers.
