Autumn #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through December 3

New week and actually a very nice trial, team got this and my Aston was just trailing behind …
So 3x 3rd, lost to Porsche and Viper, who got better top speed and team easily won all 3 races.
So road racing with track toys of S1 900, where Aston is the slowest, Viper is few seconds faster and 911 being the fastest.
Aston Martin Vantage GT12, tune - 179 667 067
or Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR, tune shared as Road
or Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, tune shared as Road
or Ford Supervan 3, tune shared as Road

Moving to solo championships and first on my list was street racing with A 800 retro super cars and looking trough my choices, I saw Lambo that already had some sort of tune, but wasn’t finished, so a bit of fine tuning and
Lambo Countach LP500, tune shared as Road and it uses rally tires
or Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, tune shared as Road

So first championship easily completed, moving to next and its a road racing with last race being cross country, with B 700 hot hatches. Didn’t bother with rally tires as normal provide enough grip to do railroad loop.
Abarth 695 Biposto, tune - 171 615 752

and to last championship and some more road racing with C 600 classic muscle cars, no need to reinvent the wheel, just reuse already tuned hybrid car on vintage tires
Holden Torana, tune - 105 352 807
or Pontiac Firebird trans AM, tune shared as Road

PR stunts all done with well known Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655, there is also tune shared with road setup and also McLaren Senna that can be used for speed zones.

Now to Forzathon and it requires to use a modern sports car, I picked TVR Griffith, put turbocharged V10 in it, with all other upgrades and easily hit that 3 star speed trap, switched to Alfa Romeo 4C, tuned to A 800 - 151 081 871 to do airborn passes on Mudkickers 4x4. Finished with my custom blueprint at Ambleside Village circuit - 655 072 061, where you can just turn right after first checkpoint and just follow that road, to loop back to finish line. Will also try some other non DLC cars and post back.

Finished with this pic

As always hope thise can be of any help, take care everyone and have fun, bb

Edit
A 160k autoshow modern sports car car can also easily hit 3 star Forzathon requirement - Morgan Aero Supersports, tune shared as Speed trap (turbocharged V10 has more then enough power  )

Wow, so they stepped things up with the Forzathon challenge.

I had originally tuned up a 370Z. I could get it all the way to 237 mph but no matter what I did, could not squeak out those extra 3 mph. So frustrating. Right after the right-hand bend there is a lift in the road. If I hit it at 170, the front would lift, if I hit it at 180, the entire car took air. I just couldn’t get it that little bit faster. Tried a Mercedes but there were less engine options (none) than I was hoping for. lol

Finally tuned up a Lotus Exige. Did it on its first run. Not the cleanest run so there is definitely more in it, I’ll try later to see how high I can get it, but it is definitely capable. I’ll post the tune tomorrow with the others. Want to try a Morgan Aero next.

Ran the Trial with a Bentley. Wow, had grip for days. Good acceleration in the low end, leaned off a little at the top end. Could not compete with a Cayman some guy was running, it took 1st in all three races. But I took second in two…the middle race was a disaster. This Bentley tune needs a little more speed, but it can hit almost every turn without letting off, so it easily gained and passed almost everyone. Gonna try to relax that a little and get some more speed out of it. Thinking about running a Lotus as well.

And did I see an A800 Super Saloons event? You know I did. Funny thing is, I was not the only Limo in the Games. lol. Each team had one…just ours was better. Hee hee. I guess it’s cheating, but man it’s good at blocking in the Flag game.

Its funny how many of you complete such hard events “on first run”. Sorry, i dont believe it. I also tried the exige tunning, reaching about 230mph but it was just, impossible. The car will spin and go air too much. And some of you did it on first try? hahahaha, dont make me laugh.

Ok, I’m feeling called out. First of all, that was rude. Secondly, I guess you missed the entire section about trying and failing with a 370Z and then a Mercedes. If you are spinning and taking air, you might not have the best tune for the job. I am going to be revisiting my own 370Z tune because I will not rest this week until I get those last pesky 3 mph. I know I can do it.

The people who post tunes and results here don’t do it for ego or bragging rights. When I say it was on my first run, it wasn’t to brag. Bragging would be when I tell you that it was in the rain (which it was lol). I said it to highlight that after struggling with the Nissan and then the Mercedes, that I was able to turn around and take it with the Lotus. It is challenging for sure, but to tell people who have tuned, tested, and performed that it is laughable is insulting. I am not one of the best drivers/tuners here…but I am far from the worst as well. When I post my results/car choices, I will leave out tunes that I feel are substandard. Some just don’t feel worthy to post. But others run well, have a balance, etc…and are posted to help out anyone who needs it. I have used them myself…still have Barto’s buggy tune. I understand you might be frustrated at trying something that just isn’t coming together for you, but try to be mindful before you start throwing shade at the people who are here to help.

But for those who say the Exige can’t do it:
Exige on first run

Btw, after a couple of runs, topped out at 243mph/391kph, so definitely not impossible.

Afterward, I tuned a Morgan Aero:
Morgan Aero run
which coincidentally was also its first run

And AquaPainter…I appreciate your comment about rewinds. I have them shut off on MS6…and for normal events around Horizon as well. But inevitably when I am trying a challenge like this, a local parade seems to spontaneously form along my route. So I don’t count AI interference, but I do count driver mistakes:
Couple of near misses
So in the order of disclosure, the Exige “first run” was with a single rewind after going off the road on the turn because of a car on the inside. But the Morgan first run was a true AquaPainter first run. lol

That’s the problem with this game, it endorses cheating. With rewind it doesn’t count as a first attempt, it doesn’t really count as achieving the goal. In nature you have a neural network that learns from its mistakes, anything artificial like rewinds do not help us to improve, so do not count, and are cheating… they are cheating nature.

Wow, dude, trim your quote a little. lol

If you are going that route, the fact that I can still play after bouncing off my first tree at 180+mph is cheating. My game should have ended months ago. It’s all viewpoint, so there is no right or wrong in this, only perspective. But I feel rewind is a tool for those who need it. Can it be abused? Of course it can. I’m not sure if there is a limit to how many times you can rewind in a race, but conceivably, you can rewind every single angle and corner til you get the (near-) perfect run. Personally, that would drive me insane. But if there is a corner I can’t manage well, and I use rewind to figure out how to make my approach better to handle it, I am training myself to do the turn better. Later, I won’t need to do that because I have learned how to handle the corner. A ‘skip’ option in the other hand would an entirely different situation. Then one would never learn because they could avoid the issue entirely.

It is a game. It is designed to handle different techniques, abilities, and skill levels. Some of those require more assistance than others. To me, that assistance is not cheating. Blatantly bypassing the limitations of the game, however, is a different story. Those D100’s (and other substandard builds) sitting in the top spots, or violating the physics of the game, that is where I draw the line.

I do try to avoid trees as well.

You should say… “I managed to do it with rewinds.” which is then clearer, because otherwise people feel that they are rubbish at the game for not being able to do it first go. Someone previously posted “I did it first time” then they posted later “I only used 3 rewinds!”

That’s not the same thing at all.

It makes people feel bad at the game when really they are being stricter not to use rewinds.

Most irrelevant argument of 2020

Ah well, but that just how it is.
Did first try it with the 718, but that’s just not fast enough.
Then switched to the Griffith (mostly because it still had a ‘new’ next to its name), made a high speed tune with stock aero, and achieved 406km/h (252mph) on first try (no rewinds).
Just out of curiosity I just took my Exige, made a high speed tune for that as well, and got 390km/h (242mph) on first try (still no rewinds).
All with manual shifting, all assists off and simulation steering (using wheel and pedals).

Either your tune is bad, or your driving. Sorry about that.

no first try either

I’d heard that the speed trap target of 240 mph at Moorhead Wind Farm may be a bit tricky so I tried out a few cars.

For me the easiest was a 2019 Porsche 911 Carrera S with an X999 tune by STEVEtheP1R4TE called SPEED TRAP. Share Code 687 401 813. Started from the left where the road forks. There’s a grassy hill you can go up which lines up with the road to the speed trap and may give a better start but it probably isn’t necessary.

Achieved over 247 mph on my first attempt.

Of course recent playlists are simply a rehash of previous playlists. The weekly Forzathon in Series 29:Autumn is a reworking of Series 10:Spring from 27 June 2019.

If you use a pass car its not tricky, its perfectly doable. The problem is (and most of you seem to forget) that many of us dont have cars like the porsche 911 carrera S or the other pass cars. So, can someone post a tune from a car from the basic pack or that you dont need to actually buy?

I can tell you that using cars from the basic pack is almost impossible. And i say “almost” because sure, probably there is one or two cars that can do it after a thousand attempts. Im starting to lose my patience with this game. MS seems to keep “forcing” players to waste money on cars, even if they dont want to to just complete a lousy fortazhon event. Well, if they keep up with that practice, sadly i will give up on this game soon enough.

I posted a screenshot and tune name of me doing it in Morgan Aero Supersport, which comes with standard game edition (maybe that’s not enough of a proof, idk) and that was speed reached on first try with 2 rewinds, as I missed the road and went offroading …

When I did it for actual first time with TVR, I failed big time, as I didn’t use proper engine and realized my pick lacks power and so too speed, when used with V10, I was clocked at 397 kph, but that run needed a few rewinds also (one was hitting a car and another sliding out of first turn).

First try using rewinds doesn’t count. Each rewind is a new try. I don’t use rewinds, my rewind mode is always off.

2015 Cayman Tune by ViiRuuSZ S2 994, three gos 241 twice

little bit harder 2016 Cayman GT4 Tune S2997 by MRhymess 240.55 twice in three goes, hope you don’t get traffic … have to take the first bend before the straight approaching from the north at about 145 mp/h or higher and then floor it, make sure you dont jump by keeping to the right firdt and then keeping left avoiding the lamppost.

MAke sure you add single turbo to swapped GT86, it’s the only way to hit 1,600 bhp.

If you have Car Pass, it’s easy mode. 911 Carrera S goes 410+ kph with the 918 engine.

Cayman GT4 does NOT work (it’s Track Toy and not Modern Sports Car).

So the GT86 using my seasonal tune 303 842 106, was on my first try with it. It was after 10 or 20 attempts with rewinds in the 370z so I knew the road well enough at that point. It’s pricy in the auction house if you don’t already have one. I’m going to try the Morgan in a bit if I get a chance. Many things in the game do seem more challenging without the dlc cars.

OK, I found other tunes have much more HP. My engine is very bad then…

400 HP boost worked  If you build your own car, 750 HP is not enough. It’s probably possible to do it with it but it’s not easy.

Yeah GT86 is the go-to car if you have it, got just under 260 first time and it was raining, used the 2nd tune that comes up if you search for X class ones.
