Auction House Pros and Cons

I have been a long term Forza Player for quite a few years and was curious about your alls opinion on the Auction House system. I communicated with quite a few different players of the community and many voiced quite a few different opinions. Overall I have found the following

Pros:
-A way to get hard to find/wheelspin exclusive cars you had previously missed (Maybe you dont like racing and prefer drifting/cruising… This gives another method)
-Introduce a way to farm credits
-Being able to “give” your friends a car (assuming it doesn’t get bought out)

Cons:
-Brings in alot of begging for Credits/Cars (which can be annoying sometimes)
-Allows for Modded Content to be distributed/credit transfers for irl transactions (Breaks Forzas Code of Conduct)
-Some Players can farm credits in the auction house so long they dont advance into normal events. (Kinda a controversial one… Since there isnt really a wrong or correct play to play Forza… Well as long as the Code of Conduct isnt Broken)
-Doesn’t allow for experience in racing/other events
-Time Consuming Hunting for Cars

Overall that was the general consensus I have gotten after talking to quite a few members. Some of them are aspects I hadnt thought about or ideas I dont see talked about. Thought it could be interesting to see your alls opinion on the auction house. Any ideas you think would make it better/any pros and cons you had differently I should add to the list. Are you a fan of the auction house being in game? I know some including myself wish that it didnt exist… and had a sort of backstage pass system instead in place to obtain htf/rare cars.

I have no problem with the AH & feel it adds a positive dynamic to the game overall. As far as the exploitation, that is unfortunately ingrained in every aspect of the game at this point. As long as it isn’t more closely scrutinized, it will just continue, so we just learn to live with it like the rest.

I mostly use the AH to sell festival playlist cars just so i can have some credits when needed. But then i also don’t really need a ton of credits. And even if i missed a festival playlist car and then tried to get one form the AH, most of the time it won’t be available and i really don’t wanna bother sniping.

Last week on 2 occassions as i was just randomly looking through i stumbled upon 2 exlusives that were selling for cheap. Like one of them was woth 100k when it should’ve been 20 mil. Wanted to buy and resell it but i was slow. There’s probably a ton of people listing cars for nothing. It’s much cooler than just being able to sell your cars. But also most ppl won’t bother saving money when it’s all just given in such abundance. So even if it’s cheaper on the AH , i’d go buy an autoshow car from the autoshow instead.

There’s fun nuances to it. I feel like most importantly the devs should remember to keep the 20 mil limit for selling cars in the future. And as far as obtaining exclusives goes, backstage pass and the AH can both co-exist.

I have every obtainable car in the game and don’t need any credits, so for me it’s just a place to dump cars for the minimum price point when I don’t feel like gifting them for some reason.
