i am fairly new to horizon 4 and i enjoy the auction house but i dont understand why you are limited to selling only so many cars a day. its like minecraft saying you have used enough blocks for today come back in 24 hours or gta saying you have used enough bullets for this time period come back tomorrow. who ever heard of a developer trying to limit a players fun. some people enjoy the auction house as much as driving but to put limitations on it is just bizzare. its like going to a real auction and the auctioneer saying oh im sorry you have bought enough for today. this is just plain stupid. so what if certain players dominate the auctions, its all fair in love and war. this was a dumb idea sorry forza for just wanting to enjoy the game.

Why is it in the auction house some people can any old rubbish car and put it in for 20million credits yet when I try to put cars in the auction house that I can only put for about 74k or 149k or whatever?
If 1 car can be put in for that much than all should be able to, is it not bad enough that you can no longer sell cars without the auction house meaning my garage is full of rubbish and my only option is to remove them for nothing which means that it’s not worth the effort to go through removing them
You need to level up your "tuner’ “painter” status. This allows you to auction vehicles for a higher cost.
Only high level tuners & painters can list cars for those prices. If you want the privilege, put in the work to reach that level like they did.
While ‘work’ is definitely the case for some who’ve got there any level in tuner + painter is attainable for anyone by uploading enough useless garbage, while there’s a good chance they know what they’re doing if they’re a rank 20 it isn’t a 100% guarantee somebody is a genuinely good designer or tuner, they could just have had the incredible patience to go through the stuttering menus of uploading all those times.
Selling them for credits like in FM4 and levelling up through credits earned would have been a much better option in my opinion, while that would have made it more open to boosting at least the genuinely top designers + tuners would have received what they deserve eventually and brilliant one-offs from players who aren’t constant painters/tuners would have got them a good chunk of money + a worthy tuner/painter level to go with it, no creator of the top few designs on cars should be a low level and yet often so many of them are.
I can’t recall the car but 1 of the top designs on one of them is from a rank 3 the same as me, so by the current system’s logic that player has the same amount of ability as me who’s artistic capability in Forza goes as far as adding stripes and putting black all around the bottom of the car.
Your Max Buyout price that you can set when you put a car up for auction is directly related to your level in Painting & Tuning. People with a higher levels can set Max Buyout prices higher.
Unless the car is in high demand and low supply, being able to set a higher buyout doesn’t mean you’d sell it anyway. The way the system works now is that - mostly - the cars with low buyouts will be the ones that are plentiful and/or aren’t very popular.

There are other threads on this already btw. To be able to set a high price for any car, you would need to reach 50,000 downloads/likes/uses for tunes or paints. Suffice to say that nobody starting now will be able to achieve that so forget it. It’s not about your level per se, because you can increase that by sharing and unsharing a tune or paint, but that won’t count towards the 50k target.

Really? Theres plenty of opportunity to reach this goal still. Especially with the influx of players weve have during people being in lockdown.
After reaching both legendary painter and tuner on my own account a year or so ago i worked out the cycles of when the trending now/hot this week sections reset daily. I shared this knowledge with a mate of mine because he started to quiz me on how i done it. We managed to reach legendary painter only a couple of weeks ago. It took about 5 days and 60 odd designs.
Key is to share all your creations at the same time each day as soon as the trending lists get refreshed. If shared at any odd time of the day, possibilities of it reaching the 10 most popular is quite slim unless you have heaps of followers. Also, target the cars that are shown as “eligible cars” for the events in the festival playlist each week. These are where you are bound to get the most exposure.
Ive seen players spamming simple colour changes and reaching legendary status. To this day theres still alot who are aiming for it aswell.
Heck, gimme a fresh account and i bet i could reach it in about a week. Lol

You’ll also see rank 10-12 guys put a few dead stock cars with stock or close to liveries up for 20MM, and get it. Abuse. Good tuners/painters should be able to get $ based on level, incremental to level.
But, we don’t even have room for 2 tune/1 livery per car in game, so nevermind. Broken.
I’d gladly pay for good liveries or tunes. 20% markup over parts, whatever. Time worth a lot on good tunes. Some great tuners have surprisingly love download levels too.

I get 2000 downloads a day, so in 25 days you can do it even now.
That’s like saying anyone can set a #1 time on a track just because 1 person can.
Tuning + painting well are a skill that not all of us have, 50 downloads for someone of my skill is ludicrous and far-fetched let alone 50k.

All seems like garbage to me, VW camper van fe stock paint and level 1 tune, buyout 224 start 216k on auction today, I can sell my VW camper van with lev3 tune and lev4 paint for 209k buyout and 199k start this makes no sense to me
What tier do you have to be to sell cars for 20 mil on auction house?
to sell all cars for 20 mil the tier is not important.
the only thing what is important is the total amount of download+likes+uses of your designs or tunings. in total the sum must be greater than 50.000.
example: it could be, that you’re on tier 5, but reached 30.000 downloads, 10.001 uses and 10.000 likes for your designs. you’re now able to sell all cars for 20 mil when you put your own design to the car.

So i have been selling a lot of cars lately on the FH4 auction house, the problem is when i try to list a car right now i get a message telling me that i cannot right now. is there a cars selling limit in the auction that prevented me from selling my cars?
