Are they even going to address the boosting?

I mean love the fact they are trying to be all inclusive for those with disabilities. What a wonderful initiative so that all people can try to enjoy the game.

But the system is being absolutely abused by those it was never intended for. They even brag about it on these same forums.

Any other game boosting is considered cheating and dealt with. Nary a word has been said on the subject either way. I recall in the other Forza’s you would get in trouble for boosting a lap in multiplayer lobbies so people could set the fastest laps with low PI cars, when a massive PI car would push them for a speed boost.

Hell I got in trouble because I replicated the Forza 2 anniversary paint jobs. I never claimed they were mine. I liked the scheme so much and they were so rare that I replicated them and gave them to the masses.

Just a shame they won’t step forward and say this isn’t for players to abuse.

They don’t care about you or their game or how you play it. All they care about is taking your money and their precious gamepass player metrics. If anything I believe they encourage this behaviour.

Yea i dont see this getting “fixed” because realistically whether you drive 3hrs or the the game does, its the same 3hrs to turn 10.

Problem also lies in the fact they really dont know who is playing. What if people share an account? Who is to say that the owner of the account is without any impairment that the said assists were made for but on the same account someone who is impaired is using the assist intended for such. How could they possibly tell who has the controller in their hands?

It is an absolute incredible system they developed that allows for the visually impaired and many other impairments to play the game. It only gets the abuse because of the level system they have in the game which I’m all for. I also do think it needs to be slightly faster to level up on the opposing side. But im not complaining about needing to put time into a game i purchased knowing roughly how long it would take.

Handing out a ban or even a “fix” for using an assist they put in the game would be highly unlikely. I dont see a way they could potentially “fix” the abuse. Lowering or removing the xp earned while using those assists would trap anyone thats actually using the assists the way they were intended. There wouldnt be any progression and no reason to play the game. Even the youtubers and journalists and anyone else that got review copies of the game were using the assists. Some to show that even the visually impaired can play a racing game. Others to show that you can start a race and walk away and still gain xp and credits.

Id bet a lot of money(if i had a lot lol) that atleast 80% of all the people who have played the game have used the assists in the abusive manner. Some more than others. Instead of turning the game off to eat sleep or work. Why not let it drive around the track and pick up a few levels without having to do more than flip a few assists and press a button? It may not be the “right way” but its the “easy way” to get a few levels and upgrades.

Instead of stepping away and not being able to play, most players have sensibly resorted to afk leveling as its currently the only viable way to play the game right now. Alot of players have also rated the game poorly which in turn sends a clear message to Turn10 that change is required. Change will just be slow because Turn10 does not appear on track with anything.

In the long run this farming of carxp means nothing except that people would rather watch paint dry then play the game themselves. Its poor game design, and while metrics wont show this exact behavior im sure the spike in assist use will show up so theyll know.

Will they care, maybe not at first but when those people are tired of doing this and realize the rest of the game is just as boring as carxp farming, the numbers will drop even more and ill bet theyll start to care then.

unfortunately when turn 10 announced this feature months ago I had a feeling it would get abused. The path of least resistance and all that. I don’t think it would have gotten to this point had the carxp required to max level a car was more realistic for an average player, something close to half of what it is now.

I get a couple of hours of time in a day a little more on my day off, and I am currently level 240 with 19 cars at 50 just playing the game, no boosting. I have fun with it and for me thats all that matters.

Well this comes down to how people “like” to have fun. Im sure many people that are farming are doing it to eventually have fun when the cars are upgraded. Some dont mind driving a stock car for a little while.

But thats why this system is stupid, its not really about driving stock cars as right off the bat you have 300 car points, which insinuates youre supposed to modify the car as soon as you get it. Youre not really learning anything about the car because youve already changed it without driving it first.

And even if you have a fully modified car, what do you do with it. The builders cup ramps up in class as you go through the tournament so most of those parts cant be used anyway until the last race. Multiplayer doesnt allow you to use any class you want, only allowing what they want for the week.

Multiplayer is not a level playing field, period. It never was either. The fact that I need probably another 500 hours behind a wheel to compete against people with controller and all assists on has been there forever. My take on it is to drive and be happy to compete mid-pack. This is what my mindset is if I brought an under leveled car as well.

I like the system, but… why would someone cheating the system would affect you negatively? I think “cheaters” are more affected by the new system than you are affected by cheaters.

AFK is not boosting.

What do you mean by boosting? I first thought you meant the occasional multiplayer driver that has lap times of 10 seconds quicker with 50 pi less while the fly past dipped up side down. Seen that numerous times.

Judging by reading the rest of the comments you mean the leveling of car and driver levels. To this I have the following to say

Regarding carXP, I hate it, the update made no change since you still have to drive about a hundred laps to unlock all points required. It sucks, when I once started with Forza motorsport 2 I had all the time in the world to spend but we are 16 down the line and Forza has a lot of returning loyal players and this feels patronizing. When we first played a lot of us where mid teens, we are now craving to enjoy the same great game, but newer. BUT nowe now are alle in our late 20’s or even 30’s, working, having a life, doing our best and this game requires more time to be spent then ever before to have the freedom that (in my eyes) once defined Forza. Even more so because the earned money can literally not be spent on upgrading your car and the pricing model is sh&!t. And Forza could easily know that most players want to have a single turbo supra, want a 3L inline 6 in their 240’s or any other method of just enjoying the freedom of experimenting with setups and tunes. You know you will turn your car to a pile sh?€t Most of the times and I do not want to level up a car for hours and hours just to enjoy the half hour of fooling around. It is not eSports Forza!!! It’s a game why would you put that much cars in a game if they take for ever. I could go on about this for a while, but let’s say you want to have a nice garage of about 60 cars… That are all at least able to fit within the top of a spec or class by means of some upgrades

Regarding the driver levels, whatever. Who cares, it says absolutely nothing. I’m more impressed by someone who drives a C5 Corvette in top of A class on the podiums than by some level 739 player that for sure has grinded a glitch to gain millions of credits. There is no need to save up for a car because if you play a bit of career and multiplayer combined you will always have sufficient money for the next purchase since upgrades are paid by manual labour instead of your hard earned money.

For both of those reason I do hope that there will be some renewed vision on car upgrades (I would even suggest a hybrid, e.g. unlock everything gradually within the first 30 or 45 minutes of driving, and then progress through the car points OR substitute them for earned money)

I have never been interested in the multiplayer aspect of Forza Motorsports, primarily due to those people who get their pleasure from wrecking other drivers. With this new release of the game, it seems like we have fewer “wild” drivers, and more considerate drivers.

I have the same approach is you. If I can finish in the top 10, it’s a win for me. For me, I know the chance of winning a race is slim to none. I’d like to complete all of the achievements, but that would mean getting at least one 1st place qualifier in an MP race, which I can’t see happening.

For now, I am enjoying multiplayer lobbies in this release.

The penalty system is not perfect, but it made multiplayer a lot better ramming-wise than FH5.

Unfortunately AFK has become a necessary evil!

Not if you have an interest in how a car drives stock and how the different upgrades feel. If you play with very few assists on, this is pretty interesting imo.

When a game can be fully enjoyed without “winning” that is a very good sign. That happens in sim racers, it happens even in good fighting games where the goal is to win the fight and you are just the winner or the loser.

crying about people doing the afk grinding in a mainly single player game that gives 0 advantage in any mp setting lol. Some of us have jobs and dont got 3hrs to spending grinding out a single car to enjoy.

I get your point but truth is most people dont upgrade and tune cars for themselves especially tuning. They get a car and they either auto upgrade or they download a tune. If they have the car points they can put it in whatever class they like.

Its a video game and theyre playing it how they want to. Would i have like motorsport to be more sim, sure but im not making the game. I dont particularly care to upgrade cars, i liked the project gotham approach, but that way also makes it harder to fill out lobbies with cars that are really competitive.

Theres no right or wrong way, in some ways thats good and others its bad. I hoped they would have made some sort of tutorial to actually teach people how to upgrade, tune, race etc but they didnt do that. So inevitably the multiplayer is the same as its always been and will continue to do

They Did The Car Level System By Design & Encourage This Behaviour Because There’s No off Button Its on the Developers Just Look at GT7 For Example why do you Think it Has a Low metacritic user Score Because of the Grind for Credits & The Cost of cars that can cost Millions of Credits many hours of Grind & a Lack of proper career Mode Games are Ment to be played for Fun & Escaping Reality not hours of tedious Grind
