So I was just randomly thinking which cars had the largest range of classes they could compete in. Most D Class cars can be upgraded to S1 or even S2, but can any of them be upgraded to be competitive in S2, or even to X?
I’m going to go mess around with this for a few minutes to see what I can do with some of the old Ferraris, some of them have high base handling stats and might support a V12 swap…
Have you tried an old American car with a swap? Those cars tend to skyrocket in performance even when you add the V8 with turbos. I expect with the V12 they’ll be even faster.
Not sure if anyone else is still interested in this, but I was able to get the 1979 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro and the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am up to around 950 since they both accept V-12 swaps.
Still haven’t found any D Class cars capable of X class, but considering how many modern hypercars/supercars can’t even make it, there very likely aren’t any.
