Are the unicorns dead?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows if there are still events coming up that we can get unicorns? I just recently came back to Motorsport after getting bored/annoyed with Horizon 3 and am not acquainted with what is going on in FM6. (If anything). Unfortunately there is no auction house/gift system in this game so I can’t just buy the unicorns. I’m sure the game is on its last legs but just wanted to make sure nothing’s coming up.

Even if there was, there’s no way T10 would tell us until the day before it would happen.

This is why I despise unicorns, not being able to obtain some great cars just because they want to appease the special snowflakes who can’t live without having something to lord over other people.

Your immaturity is showing again. There is no reason for comments and name calling like the above. It makes you look like an “entitled 12 year old”.

I stand by my comment here. There’s no other reason for them not to let everyone have access to the cars except the backlash from those who seemingly can’t play a game without being able to say “I’ve got this, and you can’t get it”.

Thanks for the info. Personally I do agree about the unicorn situation to an extent. I don’t really like them but I believe unicorns are ok as long as players have other ways to get them besides just events. That’s why I hate FM6’s unicorns (which I have none!) and hope that Turn 10 continues to use Forzathon (which lets you know ahead of time) and adds back T10 selling unicorns in the auction house like twice weekly and randomly gifted unicorns which would increase circulation. The Horizon 3 unicorns are relatively easy to get, but hopefully T10 adds even more ways to get them if they continue them at all. Personally I wish they would stop but I see why they brought them back.

Yeah, Horizon 3 has the best implementation of Unicorns so far; well advertised and accessible means to get the cars, followed by the auction house option to obtain them again if you miss out. You get the sense of exclusivity without making anyone feel like they’ve been left out entirely.

This exactly! I like how the FH3 “unicorns” are for the most part just cars with small bonuses and that you can buy most any car available in the auction house. FM4 unicorns were so divisive! To be honest, the most fair solution would be to offer unicorns as a DLC pack for the unique car variants that can’t be obtained any other way.

T10 owes everyone who bought the car pass one free unicorn for the joke of a Pontiac Aztec as DLC.

But but but the Aztec is a really fast car, SUV, truck, flaming pile of poop.

Like top 100 leaderboard fast. I’ve enjoyed trolling lobbies with the ugliest car ever made.

As bad as it looks, it’s a fantastically fun car!

I still think that anyone who has VIP should get all the unicorns.

Well getting unicorns in this game may be pretty much dead, but I have high hopes for FM7. Hopefully unicorns go away, but if they stay, Turn 10 needs to keep the auction house and Forzathon as well as other ways to get these unicorns. If they add a few new tracks and cars along with every car being added now in FH3, then FM7 could possibly get to the level of FM4. Honestly can’t wait for FM7, but I sure hope Turn 10 takes their time and does this game right.

I agree that I hope that they keep Forzathons and the AH in Forza 7. BUt I still say that any car that you can buy in the AH is NOT a Unicorn. I know that that is just my opinion, but I am basing that opinion on the History of Unicorns throughout the Forza series. You could never Auction them, only earn them.

They wasted so much time and energy in FM4 banning people for auctioning unicorn cars. Such a waste. They should be able to be sold in the AH so that those cars are earnable for those that really want them. This is especially in light of FH3 doing things like one day Forzathons so you have to be on during that specific day or not have a chance of winning it. They should at the minimum allow them to be transferred in game from those who don’t want them as much to those who do.

I think the players that got banned were the ones that modded their 360, because you couldn’t auction your unicorns any other way. They deserved to get banned.

I’m pretty sure it was a bug for some people that they were able to sell the unicorn cars. It was the glow paints that I know for sure they had to mod their console for and yeah those people got banned with the quickness. I remember reporting a few.

No, it was not a bug. You had to have modded to be able to list a Unicorn in the AH.

They have given multiple chances to win the same car, I’m sure the new ones in the last month will come back around again or just get them from the auction house. I agree not a unicorn if they are in the auction house. They do not call them unicorns officially anymore in H3. Even Forza 6 gave us a second chance at the Huracan Super Trofeo and the V8 Vantage many many months later. If you want all the exclusive cars you need to pay attention to when they are added. You have no one to blame but yourself if you miss them. You have this forum. week in review, twitter, facebook etc… No excuses

Yes. They were hunted into extinction.

My main point was the fact that they didn’t allow you to buy and sell them was pretty ridiculous and people should’ve been allowed to do so. I was lucky enough to get ahold of my top few unicorn cars through some late game T10 generosity but because these cars are “unicorns” they are now totally locked out and there is no way to ever get them. At least selling them in the AH does give some way of obtaining them but it’s not the same. I wouldn’t be against a rare car DLC pack down the road.
