I created a design that took me some time to put together and saved it to one of my cars as well as saving it to “my designs”
Question: Is there a way of applying one of my designs to ALL my cars at once? Or at least, how do I call up a saved design and apply it to a car (I guess doing it one at a time is ok)
Any help would be appreciated… thanks in advance
The only way to do this is to save each side of the car as a new layer, Then apply the layer one side at a time to another car and save that as a design.
Go to the vinyl editor with your design on your car, tag all layers on one side and save the whole side as a new layer group.
Do this for each side of the car, i save them as RHS, LHS, Top etc so i can tell which one i need when applying them later.
Once each side is saved as a vinyl group get into a new car, go to the vinyl editor and add the saved vinyl group to each side as required. You will have to paint the car the same base colour in the paintshop.
You will in most cases need to ungroup the design once on the new car and shift parts around to make it fit the size of the next car and line up on the edges so its a good idea when first saving those layers to group them into sections first so when they are ungrouped later you don’t have 3000 loose parts.
Once its all in place save the design as normal and do it all over with the next car - its time consuming but unfortunately the only way to do it.
Hopefully that gets you going in the right direction.
The painting process could certainly do with some updates, especially the lighting in the paint shop so it looks the same outside and possibly some special effect vinyls - maybe when they are done with clothes and dances they will get back on to improving the automotive aspects of the game?
