Yesterday i spent 2 hours creating a New York Giants themed Porsche 918 Spyder and I was wondering if i could straight up copy that design onto a different car?
If it matters I downloaded someone else’s NY logo so I can’t share the design. Would that mean I can’t share it with my cars too?null
You can definitely copy everything that you created to other cars. You have to do each side, front, back and top separately. Go to each of those sides, select Highlight All Layers … and then save all layers as a distinct vinyl group. Then just load each of those vinyl groups onto your new car. You may need to rearrange some things once you get them on there to work with the new car.
I don’t believe you can include the NY logo that someone else created in your vinyl groups … so you may need to add that manually to the new car separately.
Every time I select each layer and save it all, it automatically wants me to save it to livery and not vinyl…how do you change that?
highlight all the layers you want to save as a group, hit menu, then hit save as a layer group
Bear in mind you have to group the WHOLE vinyl. And you cannot have manufacture decals included in the game. But yeah as everyone said. Group the vinyls and save them individuals (individual meaning front, back, left side, right side and top side)
Then open vinyl groups and apply (and change position of certain vinyls if necessary)
You don’t have to select the whole vinyl (when you say “whole vinyl”, I assume you mean every layer on a side) to create a new vinyl group. You can select any 2, 3, 5, 10, 100 … whatever ones you like … and create a new vinyl group out of only those selected layers.
You also don’t have to group before saving a selection, they will automatically be grouped in the saved vinyl, so you can do a select all, then deselect the manufacturer or locked vinyls before saving the remaining layers.
