Yes its hard to believe but I tried to share a lovely gold metallic scheme for one of my Jags called “Wyndemere Gold” and I got the language filter warning.
I tried several variants to see if it was discriminating against users from the lakes district of the UK but found GOLD was the bug.
Although being able to rename it to gold after upload shows the futility and ease of abuse of the language filter.
Seriously what the hell is going on?
You will find that many a words are blocked by the XBL word filter.
Including the word diesel. Ironic since it’s a racing game…
The filter is put in place by Xbox Live and there is absolutely nothing any one of us can do about it. Just something we all need to work around.
Considering that online interactions are not rated by ESRB and PEGI… I really don’t see what’s the need of a word filter so restrictive. And besides it’s bugged - as it will filter the word “Forza” from time to time.
But seeing how it went last time, I am not exactly willing to challenge T10/Microsoft wordfilters again. :lol:
