I think steam has brought some cheaters. In these two days i played 3 times with people who had TOO FAST CARS! And no, i’m not talking about meta cars. Someone even finished his race -22 seconds ahead! Anynone who has noticed this too? Because if so, R.I.P. online mode.

Do you have video evidence? We don’t know how fast you are (or how fast they are), so how are we supposed to judge.
PS. Weirdly I haven’t seen many low ranks. Although I wasn’t playing much online in last week or two.

No unfortunally i dont. But it wasn’t only me which was much slower but also all the other players. And me too, there weren’t just a few player with a low rank or a with a low level. Next time i will record i video, i just wanted to know if it was only me
I had some person in FFA with Quadra S1 900 do same lap times on Astmoor Heritage circuit in winter, as I did in summer - 56 sec. I was in Viper with rally/snow tires and was about 4 sec a lap slower (1 min lap).
They were also around 15 -20 sec faster than anyone else on 2 other tracks.
Just looked the person, 1/3 of my playtime and 3x more influence.
Maybe just a very dedicated player.
That seems very suspicious. Just looked on my friends list and nobody has 3x your influence, and the person who has the most influence has played approximately the same proportion more time compared to you. Someone getting 9x the influence per hour vs you seems unlikely to be legitimate.

Quadra is really good at snow thanks to its massive thick tyres. Im not sure about if they were cheating or not tho.
A good time for S1 winter at Astmoor is 55/56, with the best drivers in top cars doing 54, so he wasn’t doing anything necessarily suspicious - the Quadra being a very strong S1 winter car.
As said, maybe just very dedicated player, dropped into average bunch.
Yeah, it’s possibly more suspicious that he was as dominant in the other races. I’m fairly sure that there isn’t an event with Astmoor where all the tracks are snow covered and the Quadra wouldn’t be as good on the non-snow course. However, it could always be someone really good on a secondary account or just someone underranked generally.
In general terms, there’s a speed boost cheat that you will occasionally see someone using but it’s blatantly obvious they are cheating usually if they do. There might be more subtle cheats out there but it’s relatively rare to see someone doing times completely outside the scope of what should be possible.
Yesterday this one guy who was placing 9th suddenly ended 1st in the last nanosecond and even messaged me teasing my 2nd place…
Blatant teleport hack… Hate FH4 online, only rammers, cheaters and life wasting looking at loading menus for 10m to then get disconnected or rammed to death in the next race. Such a beautiful game, yet so frustrating… Steam is clearly not helping with all this.

I’ve had this happen twice today. Other racer running last for the whole race and then appearing 10 seconds in front of me at the end of the race!

I remember mentioning the cheating would be far worse once steam players came on. I saw a guy in B class teleport to the end of a free roam in winter and wait until anyone got close to him before he crossed the line. I watched his dot go through the trees and a part of water where it would normally reset your car, so I knew he wasn’t playing fairly.
It’s safe to say, PG doesn’t care how you play, all they care about is that you play at all. Race fairly or dirty, it’s all the same to them.

I hardly do online anymore, and had already stopped doing ranked a long time ago, but when I was doing online, I used to see stunts like this allllllll the time. The hack-trash don’t even care to hide it, no, they revel in rubbing your nose in it and will waste no opportunity to do it as creatively as possible. But when PG began to break out the Enforcement Stick on some of the worst offenders reported, it seemed for a hot minute or two to get better, but it was temporary.
The rest of them didn’t just stop and go away, they’re all still here. They just got better at hiding the hacking as well as impulse control. They’re in ranked. They’re pretending to do rivals. I’m not talking about the 0.349 second circuit lap-degenerats, but more like the clown who sits on top of almost every single North City XC Circuit leaderboard with bs times all in auto and all assists on while in sometimes unrealistic, but usually ridiculous cars for whatever class (until very recently he had every single #1). That guy got greedy and overreached, and his exploitation is telling and obvious. No, the others are more subtle, with believable performances in proper vehicles. It’s all a big joke to them, to see how far they can push the envelope without getting caught. And of course they have alt accts to multiply the damage. Nothing is sacred to them; everything is their personal toilet.
They are some pretty pathetic losers, though, for sure, to spend that kind of time and energy to manipulate a game/platform fo the sake of ruining as much of anyones time and enjoyment as possible. They’re sick in the head, really.

you can be much faster than the rest of the players if you have turned traction control stability off…but it it matters what type of race it iz snow dirt what not…it will produce a gap in the race

So, yeah thanks for that, but the abuse I’m talking about is far above and beyond the discretionary, in-game traction/stability toggles. (Btw, there are a bunch of players that swear their performance decreases significantly when those assists are off.)

Yes! Many are skilled to begin with, but hacking/exploiting the game apparently tickles them to no end. “Clean” can’t compete for the hearts and minds of the corrupt.
It has PPS in the nickname, still need to upload them when I get back at the console.
