Not likely. We had this 3 games ago in FM4. It worked excellent, however Turn10 removed it in the iterations after. I’m not sure why they did that. It appears now that they want to control what we can do, maybe that’s the reason we haven’t seen it return.
Pcars 1 didn’t have searchable custom lobbies like there were in FM4, or at least when I played it when it just was released. You could start a lobby with your own rules and others could join, but you couldn’t search for different lobbies. Did they patch this later on?
toally agreed…the game lacks any skill anymore…it destroyed class based racing…been playing since the first forza…no AI Drivers in a private match…currently playing free play only…cant even play with friends anymore…this was the whole point of forza…to build your own setups…class e thru r was the best…they need to make this game what it used to be…you cant make your own public lobbies anymore for years now…that was bad enough…now no more AI drivers in private matches with friends…Matchmaking does not work for this game…people just slam you into the wall or a barrier…now no more
classes…totally defeats the purpose of making your own setups…driving homowhatever stock cars in forza career…no reason to tune or upgrade…not paying $100 anymore…for a Broken Forza…the only thing this game is good for is that it looks good on my Project Scorpio and my 4K 55 inch TV…that is it…fix the game please…sales numbers are going to be non existent if you keep the game like this…what were the devs thinking…not buying forza 8 until some serious changes have been made…game is as skill less as it gets…if it aint broke…don’t fix it…This Studio is going to be the Next Evolution Studios…just wait and watch…
Dan Greenawalt answered this question at E3 2017 (7 minutes into the video):
“Searchable custom public lobbies. This is a question we’ve gotten a lot over the years. We’ve been working with the Xbox platform team on features like Clubs, and Looking for Group to allow players to find communities that they enjoy; there’s kind of a hashtag system in there, and you can find the groups you want and launch into a game. But then you launch in as a party, and because you launch in as a party, there can be a host, and they can do controls, and they can configure that lobby. Now I understand that there’s the system that people are looking for from the past. We’re trying to create a new system blending what is a game and what is the platform, so that Looking For Group can actually create a better experience to jump in and out of the game you want to play.”
Since this topic inevitably turns into a wishlist I’m locking the thread and suggesting that if players have further interest in such a feature they should use the Wish Lists Go Here thread pinned at the top of the forum and the feedback address forzafb@microsoft.com
