has T10 said anything about custom lobbies coming back? Bored to do online drag races where everyone uses just some meta porsches and so on. And drivatars to private lobbies would be nice too!
We can all dream…or play every other racing game that offers it.
I can’t seem to understand the logic in removing it from the series. Regulations still are not going to bring nordschliefe to b class forcing all assist off even the cruddy brake line. But I guess there’s always forza 8. Whenever that comes.
I think Microsoft is preventing this. Unlikely ever to return unfortunately.
Microsoft hasn’t prevented Dirt 2.0 from having it. Like I said its something I just can’t understand. I wish they would be more transparent and detailed as to why they decided to eliminate it. as far as I can see there’s no reason other than to try and force Hoppers on us. But still, the divisions are there, even if Custom Publics were implemented we can still set up Historic Road Racing lobbies of our own to host with our own settings. Now we are talking about variety and fun. And they would be able to gather so much data on the stuff we like and we don’t like. It’s a great learning opportunity they are missing out on from their community. Why are they not reaching out to me to offer me a job yet is beyond me. They can even hire me to slap some literal sense into them if they need. I’ll greet them with a open palm…
Isn’t Dirt 2.0 made by Codemaster? FM7 is actually made by Microsoft as they own Turn 10 and just recently Playground games as well. That is the difference, they don’t own Codemaster.
I could be getting this wrong, but the supposed reason for no public custom lobbies in the last few Forza games are technical reasons. So third party developers with much smaller dev teams and budgets having them would disprove that theory.
What technical reasons?
What technical reasons?
Don’t know, just seen that said a fair few times by now (could be totally wrong).
It’s not surprising rumours like that form, when for whatever reason Turn 10 completely refuse to comment on some things.
PC2 also has custom public lobbies.
I guess it’s pointless though. Turn 10 haven’t even acknowledged the topic after several years now and I can’t see them suddenly caring enough to change that. After all, we are just a bunch of idiots that keep giving them money.
We have been asking for years for the return of this only to get dead silence.
Why don’t they just try it though is what I don’t understand. many other games have Test Servers to try new things before full release, why not just throw a “experimental Custom Public Lobby” option up and see what happens?
I don’t know but all we have here is silence from T10 as usual. We all want this, it is the perfect solution to most of the issues with bad behavior. We have begged them to bring this back but they just do not respond. Been down this road for years and all I have heard is crickets.
Either way I think its still not good enough when the consumers are begging for this for so many generations. The fact that they give no reason or even address the issue is my bigger concern. I just don’t understand how they operate. They have these forums which is great for us to chit chat about the game but it seems its more of a complaint board. which I understand can be annoying to them but if we are willing to log on and voice our concerns shouldn’t this be a tool for them to read and address? Maybe I just think too highly of companies like this to care and should just shut my mouth and be force fed the next generation of garbage because no other developer can seem to get close to what they offer with the options we crave. They really do or have had everything that could make a great racing game now or in previous Forza’s, why not blend it all together and make this game great? it just seems like such an idiotic business decision to not take these complaints seriously.
