It has been like this for about a month.
I switched hardward 2 days ago… and even then its the same.
Clean windows installation, clean drives, all fresh install of Forza…
Somethings up, since today my loading times are about 3x slower than before and game hangs on welcome screen way too much than before. Thing started with my playlist score going down and online disabled so I restarted and noticed car pass and VIP are gone, reinstalled it and no luck game stopped seeing it even though store was saying all is fine. Suddenly the game managed to access carpass and VIP, but loading times are super slow, my car is changed to Audi TT at stratup and game hangs for a few times at a welcome screen before I’m able to get to drive. No changes to hardware/software from my side so gotta be something with the game or servers.
It was the same for me…
But i actually manages to fix it. I removed everything that had to do with forza… AGAIN!
Reinstalled it all and now it loads like it should. Fast and smooth.
Often times when you see issue like this, the issue is more than likely related to Windows Recovery limbo. This is easily noticeable if your game folder appears to double in size.
Common solutions are:
Try a roll-back of the affected UWP app or Windows Version
Attempt a reset of the affect UWP app: Windows>Settings>Applications>Title>Advanced Options>Reset
Delete all files associated with the affected app and re-install.
Quick question, is resetting app safe to my completed playlist challenges? Especially playground, dailies and weekly forzathon challenges. I noticed that people which played offline are reporting those ones as turning “not completed” which worries my if I won’t end up with the same thing after resetting FH4 app.
Has anyone managed to fix this? I tried a reset of the app in settings, as well as a full uninstall and reinstall from the Windows Store. This issue has started since the final 2 car pass cars have been released (I installed them from the store manually), and ever since my loading times have been far longer than they used to.
Nope, resting app and then reinstalling it from ground up didn’t help, loading times are still 3x slower than before, idunno maybe some windows update is responsible for this sorcery here.
I really think it has something to do with manually installing the car pass - I have been able to reproduce this problem on multiple computers. Manually installing the car pass seems to have some permanent effect on the loading time, even after uninstalling everything, then reinstalling the game without the car pass.
yep same here.
noticed car pass wasnt installed in store.
just hit the button, dunno myself why since all cars where there.
just felt better when it said installed…
well since then loading is 3 or 4 times slower.
so def. is the car pass manual installation.
