So when I start up the game, everything is fine. Then I press enter and the main menus appear. From there on out, things get ugly. menus are laggy when you scroll through them, customizables while upgrading load super slow, switching between cars is equally taking too much time.
And then comes the pre-race loading. Sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes!!! The race itself doesn’t even take that long… Why does loading a race take that long?
Finally, why doesn’t the AI take your presence on the track in account? It just bashes you out of the way, pushes your car’s back, fishtailing it to make you spin and if you spin, it just tries to drive through you, banging against you until you are out of the way and onto the grass. I try to drive clean races, but most of the time I am with 2 tires on the grass, cause the AI just comes on my lane when I’m there already.
At least in the race itself the graphic are awesome and the game runs at a steady and high fps, no matter the amount of cars on screen and the camera angle I’m in. So I wonder. If the racing itself goes smooth and with high settings, why are the menus and loading of a race have to be so laggy and tiresome?
My PC specc:
i5 6500 @3.2 Ghz
16 gb ram
Radeon RX480 8GB, update 17.10.1
Kingston 500GB SSD
Windows 10
Edit: Settings are all dynamic and the test gave a 59/61 min/max fps feedback.
