[ANSWERED] Disconnected from the session!

Every time I try and play online multiplayer races in Forza 7 on my xbox one it lets me join the lobby as it should, it even starts the races as it should, but then every time part way through the race it’ll just stop and say “You have been disconnected from the session” It’s really annoying! I’ve only ever finished one race without it doing it. Sometimes it even does it while I’m waiting for the previous race to finish so I can join the race after. I don’t think it’s anything to do with my internet because other games including Forza 6 all work fine and always have done. Anyone else having the same issue?! Driving me mad! If you excuse the pun! Haha!

Hello,

Who is your ISP and which router do you use?

Thanks,

Are you using wireless by chance? Forza 7 and the wireless on my router do not work well together at all; changing to wired connection works a ton better but as with everyone else on Xb1 still suffering with the crash to desktop every 3-4 multiplayer races.

Haha, I don’t know what ISP is. Sorry, not brilliant at that sort of stuff. I know it’s a Virgin Superhub 2 tho! lol

Oh, I see, Internet service provider. It’s Virgin (obviously) lol.

Yeah, it’s wireless but not in a place where I can do it with a cable.

Mine has been exactly the same, disconnected from servers. Still looking for a solution.

Same problem here even with wired connection…its drving me mad.

Hi Bradders, as I had same problem in Fm7 while Fm6 was working I found a solution.
The change I needed to do was to fully enable Upnp on my router.
On my router it was activated but a second setting which allows the application to set its on port connection was needed.
Check how you can fully enable upnp on your router that should help.

The uPnP advice didn’t do anything, it made it worse.

I have same issues. And all these threads offer is EXCUSES.

Same problem that I have always with FM7 and that has never been solved …
Disconnections from the session, or failure to connect to the server.
Nat open. All open doors.
TP link router
I am connected with cable.
With other games no problem.

Sorry for my English. I’m using google translator.

just started happening to me, wish i could get a refund for this dreck

I have this same problem (however, I’m on Windows 10). My NAT type is open, and I have 12 megabits/second (1.5 megabytes/second) down and 1 megabit/second (125 kilobytes/second) up with a 30ms ping.

I know that may not sound like a lot of throughput by today’s standards, but keep in mind I have ZERO problems with ANY other game (on neither my PC or PS4). As well, I never received the “low bandwidth” or “high ping” warning in Forza, either. But, I’ll often be disconnected from races. I can’t even get through ONE endurance race because I always get disconnected on the second to last (and sometimes last) lap. I was wondering if this is just an error with Forza on the back-end, or if there’s anything I can do to help circumvent the issue. (I have already reset the “Windows 10 Xbox App” and “Forza 7” in Windows 10 “App Settings”.

Welcome to the club, HazyJ740! I’ve been troubleshooting this issue for the last 2 weeks, and I’m still corresponding in emails with Forza support. I’m on Google Fiber using the default Network Box. I have Open NAT, UPnP works and we have 1000Mbps up and down so this isn’t speed related! Every other game I own works just fine, so I figure it is something with the Forza game servers or something between certain ISP’s and Microsoft’s Xbox network.

This also is the case for me in Horizon 4 as well. I can’t connect to ANYTHING in that game, so no Forzathon for me. I haven’t renewed my Game Pass since the 2 weeks before it expired I couldn’t play Forza games online anyway. I seriously hope somebody can get this figured out so we can play online again!
