Hope I’m not causing any problems by bombarding you folks with my challenges. Let me know if you think I’m overdoing it.
Here’s a twist on the “drive like Gromit” thing.
C class this time (use your best tune and design)…same course, i.e., Positano reverse direction.
This time, you only have six laps to overtake at least three of the tourist cars.
scoring as before~
for each tourist passed without contact, a bonus of 1100 points; you may get up to three of these bonuses
for each contact with walls, a penalty of 250 points
for every 0.001 second over target time for the six-lap race (7:45 this event), a penalty point
for every thousandth over the target for best (clean) lap time of 1:15, one penalty point
perfect score is 3300
minimum score to win an X car is 3000
An important message from Grampa:
If you get a car which reads “R1” with a PI in the 970’s, don’t feel ripped off because you were expected an “X”
all this means is that it’s wearing dry tires (which Forza calls “Drag tires”), and you can install “race” rubber (which I consider rain tires in the P1/P2 cars). You’ll have gobs of extra traction, probably too much downforce, and the car will be thrown into X class.
both sets of tires, and possibly some extra rims, are already bought & paid for.
if you are bent on racing X class, but don’t want to take the time to tweak ride height, tire pressure, downforce, etc., message me for additional tunes
you’re welcome
You guys have inspired me to run this race again. This time I challenged myself by putting in more AI cars, and by using a slower car (C class Cygnet). I got my 3300 score, but things got a bit ugly when a BMW driver tried to stifle my progress. Replay on SF, also a photo of the point where I almost lost 250 points. Obviously the pass on the black BMW is not a scoring one, but I got way more than the three I needed.
