EZT Motorsport is excited to announce the second–and perhaps the most unique series to date–SPECRacing Series of our 2020 race season!
SPECRacing Series 2, running in our Monday night time slot, will see drivers competing in the 2000 SVT Cobra R specifically built to A-class and a PI of 676. It comes in at an even 3,000 pounds as well as 402 horses and features minimal tuning options–a focus on driver skill rather than tuning skills. This is a well balanced build offering both speed and drivability. A highly driveable car with great handling, yet if pushed passed the limits will definitely give you some surprises!
The series will see ten races separated into two segments of five race events. The first of these two segments will feature all US-based venues–Sebring International, Homestead-Miami, Daytona International, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Road America! After a week break, the second of the two segments will feature all European-based venue–Le Mans Bugatti, Silverstone, Monza, Mugello, and Catalunya! Each segment will see one night race–the sports car circuit of Daytona International Speedway in Week 4 and Le Mans Bugatti in Week 6!
There will be a minimum of three championships in this competition:
- US Championship (Overall, Team__, and Privateer__)
- European Championship (Overall, Team__, and Privateer__)
- Overall Championship (Overall, Team__, and Privateer__)
* = Should there be sufficient registrations to support Team Championship / Privateer Championship
This car is definitely going to produce some extremely tight and exciting racing throughout the field. You will not want to miss out on this one!
Sign-up for this series will open on 04 OCT 2020 on our website (https://eztmotorsport.forumotion.com).
The series will be utilizing the new rules package aimed at improving efficiency on race nights. This includes Week Q1 and Week Q2 where Week Q1 will be a Qualifying and Livery / Build Inspection night only (livery / build inspection is required) and Week Q2 will be a Qualifying night only. The livery inspection is to insure that all drivers are in compliance with the posted livery rules. In addition, we will utilize FRR for this series.
Week Q1 inspection and qualifying will be held on 12 OCT 2020, with the first race scheduled for 19 OCT 2020.
