I am actually so uncontent with this game that i took the time to write it out here.
I paid, as many of the people here a full €100 for mostly the early acces.
This is thefirst time in my life i spend that much money on a single game but hey, i thought this was gonna be worth it.
Content wise, yeah probably, there’s a lot in this game…
But again exactly like Forza Horizon 3 (which should have been my first warning) it runs like absolute garbage!
Since it took many months too fix this with horizon i can see how this will be going.
So i read the Microsoft Terms and Conditions about games, turns out they give you the finger after u bought it.
No refund for games period. I wonder why i am even suprised.
To be clear my system,
AMD Ryzen 1600x @4Ghz
16GB 3200Mhz ram
Nvidia 1080
OS on 500GB samsung ssd and the game on another 500GB samsung ssd.
Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 gsync 100hz
Forcing Gsync with nvidia profiler seems to help a little since this game natively doesnt wortk with gsync??? No also not after the lastest patch and nvidia driver.
But then the game crashes to desktop randomly.
CPU utilisation full 100% on a single core…
FPS average is 102 but every 2 seconds it dips under 40 and a few times a minutes the game hangs for 1-2 seconds.
So in short i spend the €100 for early acces and ending up not playing the game now.
I feel very disapointed and my trust in turn 10 studios has gone.
Is this even legal? I mean my PC easily surpasses the minimum requirements…
Reading through the various threads on these forums, it appears you can actually get a refund for the digital purchase of this game. Pop over the the Microsoft support live chat, and ask them in there, apparently that’s what works. If that’s the route you go down, I wish you the best of luck.
Look, I’m not defending turn 10… I am upset with them, if you want read my other posts where I am ripping them apart…
But… its you (or the windows store version) not turn 10
Rig:
6700k
32GB Ram
1080ti
500 SDD
and the game runs pretty flawlessly… I get 60fps, on 4k with everything ultra.
A few things:
Go to windows settings (I went to the xbox app on windows 10, settings, game dvr, click on window settings)
Turn off game bar
turn off game dvr
turn off game mode
Don’t run any monitoring system, that checks temps or whatever
Don’t run steam (i had issues until i turned off steam)
make sure you leave the xbox app open and run the game through there
make sure you downloaded the latest drivers
doing that, ensure me that I have zero issues with the game.
I don’t think that’s fair. These games are designed around the Xbox’s memory system, not a regular PC’s. Much like FH3, this is just a port. It’s entirely possible that it’s the game.
