Started off as a small group in South Africa who experienced Multiplayer connectivity issues, we’ve grown to a current 29 members. While most of the connectivity issues are long gone, we stayed together for having fun and some serious racing. Recently completed the V8 Super Car series and Endurance series, we will now be off to another Championship..
Our new series will be GLOBAL TOURING CARS and start on 29 September 2016. Although most of us are from South Africa with a few from UK and North America, anyone is welcome, whether you are new, slow, fast, young or old, provided that you race clean and adhere to the registration and few other rules below at all times. Most important, have fun, but to keep it fair to all, the few rules below should always be followed. So, let’s have some fun.
REGISTRATION
All you have to do to register is post your GT in this thread.
Regularly have a look at this thread for the latest news and scoring.
RACE NIGHTS AND STARTING TIME
Racing will be on Thursday nights for 5 consecutive weeks. Qualify will start at 07:00 PM sharp with the races to follow immediately afterwards.
Starting time is 07:00 PM SAST [UTC/GMT + 2] [which is 1 hour ahead of London in the UK and 6 hours ahead of New York]
Lobby will be open 30 minutes before starting time with a short practice session for those that are interested.
To join the lobby - add myself [FA RACING 01] or AMR Paunchy to your friend list and then join from our GT.
Myself and one or two regular guys from the PPS Masters Group also race on Fridays and weekends in Cup and League events and with their current Touring Car Championship on Fridays, this will provide good practice for that. Those interested in joining the PPS races in an organised and clean racing environment can contact PPS OUTLAW or PPS TurkScorpio for more detail and requirements or visit their Forum at PPS Masters.
RACE MODE
Qualify will be ghosted with a 2 second delay between drivers, but with damage on.
Races will be simulation with full damage on.
One mandatory Pit Stop
Racing Assists can be used at your own choice, but “Auto Braking” will not be allowed.
GENERAL RULES
Clean racing and good sportmanship is expected of all drivers at all times.
You must have and use a microphone and join the lobby party.
You may defend your position on any straight section of the track by moving sideways only once, provided that your movement does not hit the approaching car. Any further movement to defend your line on that part of the track is deemed as weaving which is not allowed.
If you leave the track for whatever reason, make sure you only return when there’s no approaching traffic. Failure to do so will receive you a penalty.
You must “shout out” any serious incidents on track where you block the track, even if it’s just for a small moment. Same applies to when you leave the Pits.
Track limits are determined by solid white lines either side of the track and two wheels must remain inside the white line at all times, save for a clear attempt avoiding a collision.
A race will not be restarted for any reason whatsoever.
Penalties will be awarded for cutting chicanes or unsportmanlike behaviour. Infringements should be reported to Race Control before the end of the race.
Grid order for the first race will be “FIXED” according to qualify times and the second race will be a “Reverse Grid Order”
POINT SCORING SCALE
From 1st to 10th will score points as follows for each race : 25, 18,15,12,10,8,6,4,2,1
The Series consists of 5 legs, with 2 races per leg.
A race will only be classified as a completed race and points awarded if at least 50% of the laps were completed.
Should connectivity issues prevent 50% or more of the registered racers to start a race, or a race is not classified as a completed race, that race will be postponed to a new agreed time slot.
The driver with the most points after completion of the 5th leg in week 5 will be awarded the championship title.
In the event of ties for a position, superior race results will gain precedence.
Qualify pole and Fastest lap time in each race scores one additional championship point each.

The AMR logo must appear visible on your car. I will share the logo tonight for download so you can either add it to your car or trace over it for your own use and addition to the car.
Car must have a clearly visible race number. When you register also mention the number you would like. I will list all registered participants in post no. 2 with their numbers.
The same car/model must be used for all the races in the series.
I would love to start racing but I’m TOTALLY new to online racing. I’ve been playing Forza6 for a while & have been driving since Forza3.
I have 1 or 2 decent lap times in rivals
I will try to be on for a practice tonight… to see how things work, as I said before, I have ZERO online racing under my belt, only the usual in game stuff, so I need to figure it all out hahahaha. And another thing, where do I get the AMR logo? Or am I now just being dof? lol
Don’t worry about your lack of experience, it’s only a practice session and exactly the reason why we’re doing it - to get the new guys to be familiar with online racing, race craft etc. It’s much like career races - you also aiming to win, but racing clean and sportmanlike at all times. AND perhaps the most important is to remember it is not RIVALS where you can always choose the best line or where you race against a ghost. You have to learn to adjust your line when a driver in front of you occupies the best line and you want to pass him CLEANLY. AND you must allow for earlier braking by the driver in front of you. Many other things, but it will come in time.
The logo is shared with description - " AMR Logo " and designed and shared by myself. It looks pretty much the same as the one at the top of this thread. You can also watch the replay of my practice lap in the BMW 125 on Hockenheimring which will show you the car with the logo on it. Think the time was 1:45.515 or close to that.
Not sure how familioar you are with the process, but here’s what you do - go to the paintbooth where you design a custom decal. Press A on the first block as to apply a shape and then scroll to the very left with L1 which will show a few shared logos. Now press the start button to search for a logo/decal and either add my GT where you must add the designer or add “AMR Logo” where you add the Decription. That should give you the two AMR logos - one in black/white and the other in colour. You can do same to add a decal directly to your car. let me know if you still struggle and I’ll help you out.
Then I must truly be doing something wrong… nothing I found resembles the logo at the top of this page or the one on FA’s car.
Who posted it or who is the designer?
If your NAT is open you shouldn’t have a problem. Just plug and play. If you ad us as friends we will invite you or you can just click on our names and join the party chat and game. The open NAT is very important otherwise you will keep on having connection issues.
