RULES
REGISTRATION
All you have to do to register is post your GT in this thread.
Regularly have a look at this thread for the latest news and scoring.
RACE NIGHTS AND STARTING TIME
Racing will be on Wednesday nights for 6 consecutive weeks. Qualify will start at 08:00 PM sharp with the races to follow immediately afterwards.
Starting time is 08:00 PM SAST [UTC/GMT + 2] [which is 1 hour ahead of London in the UK and 6 hours ahead of New York]
Lobby will be open 20 minutes before starting time with a short practice session for those that are interested.
To join the lobby - add myself [AMR Paunchy] or LMP Riptide to your friend list and then join from our GT.
RACE MODE
Qualify will be ghosted with fuel and tyre wear with 2 seconds delay between driver start and will be 15 minutes.
Races will be simulation with full damage.
Two races will take place on each racing night.
Grid order for the first race is based on qualify results whilst the second race will have a reverse grid order.
Minimum of one quick stop (some tracks 2) is mandatory.
Driver assists are allowed, except “braking assistance” and “steering assistance”
POINTS SCORING
Points will be awarded on a scale 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 with 1 additonal point for pole and 1 additional point for fastest lap time in each race.
A driver’s 10 best race results (out of 12) will count towards the Championship. This should help those experiencing occasional internet issues or have to miss a race night for whatever reason.
A race will only constitute a race if at least 50 % of the drivers entered for the evening have completed 50% of the scheduled laps.
A driver will only score points for a race if he completed at least 50% of the scheduled laps.
NOTE: NEW SAFETY CAR RULE ( This new rule will be open to discussion before we start the series )
Safety Car Rules
There will be no designated ‘safety car’ vehicle utilized in our series, due to the limited nature of the race lobbies. However AMR wants to operate general safety car regulation which provide a similar outcome, utilizing the lead vehicle in the lobby to slow the cars to a safe speed whilst any obstruction is cleared from the circuit, or allowing affected competitors to repair any damage and catch up with the rest of the field.
- When the Safety Car Is Used
The Safety Car will only be deployed if an incident or incidents occur between three or more competitors that severely impairs both competitors race. Only a driver involved in the incident may request the safety car, and make the request to the Lobby Captain. The Lobby Captain may seek the opinions of other competitors, before making the decision to activate the safety car period.
The Safety Car may not be requested during the final two laps of a race.
- Forming a Safety Car Period
In the event of a safety car period being called, the lead car takes the role of the Safety Car or Pace Car. The Safety Car must not exceed 80 K<PH ( 50MPH ) and the pack must form in current race position in single file.
- Conduct During Safety Car Period
Drivers involved in the incident should form at the back of the pack, in order of relative position before the incident, unless there is an obvious instigator. Competitors must keep a reasonable distance during the Safety Car Period. Brake testing during the Safety Car period will not be tolerated and may lead to penalties, either race meeting or championship. Warming of tires is permitted but must be undertaken in a safe manner with due consideration given to other competitors. Competitors who leave the track by their own volition during the Safety Car period may be passed by the rest of the pack and the competitor will form at the back of the field.
Drivers not involved in the incident may pit during a Safety Car Period, but will resume the race at the back of the field. If the grid has not formed by the time the pole sitter reaches the pit lane entrance, the safety car may continue for another lap. It is YOUR duty to ensure the safety of your fellow competitors.

Hi Guys
Please note that the rules haven’t changed since our last series. The only new rule is the safety car rule. This is open for discussion and is not set in stone. I just think a safety car makes the experience more realistic and help the guys that get involved in big accidents that is not their fault a fighting chance.
Let me know what you guys think. Please feel free to post photos of your cars etc. and ask all the questions you may have.
Cheers

Hi Guys
Bennesttson and RedBeard1272 added.
Catfish I’ll try my best to organize a few races that you can join. Just let me know times you are available.
Lets get a few more guys for Wednesday. I’m currently working on something to add an extra race night per week. This wont be a series. Every race will be a different car and track.
What is your opinions on the safety car rule we want to add?
Cheers

The Safety car works very well in TORA and as long as people knows what to do [driving speeds, pitting etc.], it’s a good thing. It’s only the call of the Safety Car that sometimes leads to issues so I suggest clear guidelines are given on when and who calls.
Ok… My car choice is… 2014 Corvette C7.R
As far the Safety Car goes, the idea is good. It seems fair, but Riptide is right, there must be clear guidelines (understood & followed by all)
