I’ve done about 8 of the career races now with the 2017 GT350R and it just isn’t getting any better for me. Is this car really this miserable in real life? This car is supposed to be a grip animal. In this game, it has really unbalanced shocks and spring rates, brakes are mediocre, the tires squeal and lose grip around every single little turn, even after I cranked the diff acceleration down it still loves going sideways around every single corner even under partial acceleration. What am I missing here? I really don’t believe this car is this big of a mess in real life. Im sure it gets better with tuning but the race series I’m in doesn’t allow it, AND I just don’t believe stock this car is so misreable.
I have a gt350r in the game it’s my favorite car to race. I have mine set as an A class cat still running stock tires/wheels no aero and full race chassis and suspension and trans. Mine handles like its on rails.
Yes! Driving the 458 was the moment I realized the games handling was broken, or at the very least, the physics model didn’t apply well to all cars. I’ll put in another way: any racing game where the Ferrari F40 handles better than the 458, is a game still in development. (TX Wheel ftr)
Strange. I have no issue with either of these. Infact in S class im usually top 10 in most lobby’s once I’m past the chaos. In the Speciale I can switch to top 3 pretty easy. It’s a beast
are you using a wheel? driving the mclaren 650s and Speciale back to back the 458 feels like it has jello as tires. Car is basically impossible to drive cleanly, it tries to spin around going 30mph.
i’m talking stock. Yeh I can put a big ass front sway and make it understeer but thats not my point. I like to drive my cars stock because cars feel unique, besides there is something wrong about modding a Ferrari. My point is that Speciale stock the car drives awful to the point that its broken. I’ve never driven a 458 Speciale but words reviewers use are confidence inspiring and stable at speeds. Once you start modding the suspension to how you like it, all cars start feeling similar.
I added bigger tires on the rear (A660) lowered front pressure and rear. (I think 28psi and 28.5 on the rear) Also, use normal steering, tcs only, and abs with grip and brake mods. Helped me tremendously in career mode. Hope this helps.
The problem here is just that these cars don’t fit your driving style, I hear some swearing by how godly the gt350 is, and people hating it, same with most cars, you guys just wana connect with a car you think is cool butbit just doesnt fit you well
Game pad users and wheel users should argue about handling separately. The experience seems to be completely different, as it should be, but it seems like game pad users are having an a better experience overall. The problem for wheel users seems to be consistent enough, that it probably is less of a physics issue and more of a force-feedback and steering rotation issue. The few times I’ve commented about the poor handling, I’ve had a game pad user tell my that they think the handling is great, and that’s it my fault I can’t drive. This isn’t helpful.
In my experience, I’ve had less problems with old muscle cars and Group 5 race cars than I’ve had with modern road cars. A lot of people complaining about oversteer, and next to no one complaining about understeer – If the physics were even close to realistic, there would be an equal amount (and probably less) of players complaining about either. The physics on some cars definitely need work, the F40 should not handle better then the 458, and for me it does. And I was even more annoyed when I took the Lambo Aventador around Monza without effort, that car handles beautifully. The 458 is one of my favorites and they butchered it.
I hope they plan of fixing some of this, especially if they intend to keep adding new cars, and not for free.
On another note, wheel related, my game updated this evening (I haven’t played for a few days) and am having a much more predictable driving experience with the wheel than I was prior.
I’ve been playing fora since the first one came out. When i play this game i have a hard time believing turn10 made this. i cant understand how a car traveling at 45 mph around a turn with no throttle or brake input goes sideways. Not a little loose. Sideways! and even come around completely. I’m trying to convince myself that this is just a glitch like the super AI and it will get fixed. i have never played a racing game with handling this bad.
